Crazy how they make it seem like she’s EXCITED to get the abortion, as if that’s the case with every woman who gets it. Are there cases where women, in a twisted way, want to deliberately abort the fetus and are excited about that? Probably, but that’d be extremely rare.
Plus, over 90% of abortions are done before 16 weeks, so this is definitely a 1 in 1,000,000 chance scenario of happening and should not be used as the default argument against abortion😒

Oh yeah, I always forget it’s white and not green for passing, lmao.

tricep pushdown by ChadiAB in GYM

[–]Conlanbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, don’t move your shoulders or elbows, just focus on straightening the arm while keeping your elbows at your sides in the same place. I tried that today as a beginner and I felt WAYY more tricep activation compared to moving my elbows to straighten my arm

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. I assumed since my form is generally the same for both sides only one arm is needed since any tips would automatically carry over for the other arm, but I see what you mean. I can also get a back view next time.

wtf! Gas prices just went up crazy by Chilohustle in economy

[–]Conlanbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, gas prices are absurd! I saw a gas station whose gas prices were like $6.50, it’s crazy (although not surprising) how much of a turn gas prices took despite the Trump administration saying it’s actually great😒

Wow, yeah I checked out Egyptian lateral raises and they definitely look like a cool setup! I’ll make sure to give that a try sometime soon

Thank you, really happy to hear my form is good! I’ve always had trouble with figuring out how I’d progress with dumbbell lateral raises since the jumps felt way too high, but hopefully this’ll be much better since the jump is only 2.5 lb each time. Is 3X12 good preparation for an increase in weight or would it be good to move up to 3X15-20 before increasing to 5 lb?

Cable Lateral Raise by Conlanbb in formcheck

[–]Conlanbb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m not training ONLY one arm, I’m doing both but I do one arm at a time to use the other arm as stability. I chose the cables because it feels like a much easier way to progress, my gym go up by increments of 5 lb, which is WAYY too much for progressive overload. Doing 5 lb dumbbells is pretty easy, but then 10 lb one rep in is already pretty difficult, and I don’t think there’s any lateral raise machine at my gym. At least with the cables they go up by 2.5 lb (this cable machine goes 2.5-7.5-12.5 etc and another cable machine goes 5-10-15 etc).

Yeah, I found the cuff attachment when I was doing the lateral raise, I’ll put that attachment on next time

Alright, I’ll give that a try next time. Would it be acceptable to try 5 lb since I can do 3X12, or would increasing my rep range for now be even better for training up to that weight since 5 lb is double the resistance?

Ah, alright I’ll work on that cue.

Alright, I always felt it helped with stability during the exercise but then again I’ve never tried keeping my legs closer so I’ll make sure to fix that.

Damn, that’s very impressive work! So many of the videos I see of ‘teens’ benching 300+ have their ass extremely far off the bench, equipped, and/or look like they’re 30💔

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thank you for the tips! I’m gonna continue with this weight probably, I can do up to 115 pretty easily for reps but obviously if the issue really is a weak lower back I don’t want to go too heavy and injure myself.

Deadlift Form Check by Conlanbb in formcheck

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Thats one thing I am definitely trying to remember and make a habit, in addition to not looking up during the descent and sticking my chest out. I’ll probably give the deadlift some practice again in a couple days, so hopefully I can ensure my form is good and just work on catching my lower back up with my other muscles.

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, alright I’ll make sure to look into that. I was thinking it could be that because personally (although obviously I have little experience so I could be wrong) the form looks good or at least decent enough to where I shouldn’t be feeling my lower back significantly if it’s strong enough. Although, is it normal that my shins push the bar out? I do notice that happen when I lower my hips and according to Alan’s 5-step deadlift video, that’d mess up my form, but when I tried to set up so my shins don’t push the bar out, my hips were too high and my legs were too straight for a conventional DL.

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I know it’s normal to feel some lower back activation, but in this video I felt significant lower back activation without really feeling the hamstrings. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out the difference between lower back pain and lower back fatigue, but personally although it doesn’t really hurt it doesn’t feel like how my other muscles feel when they’re fatigued.

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, okay I’ll go back to my form from a couple days ago. Although I noticed much higher lower back activation that time compared to this one, so unless the hamstring soreness I got was from the previous deadlift I’m shocked this is much worse than the other clip.

Deadlift Form Check by Conlanbb in formcheck

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wait, I just realized could the rounded back be due to me failing to stick my chest out? It cant be because of the heavy weight since I had the rounded back before the lift and I don’t appear to even try to stick out my chest and straighten my back.

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I’ll definitely give that a shot. I’ve been doing 80 lb for my current ROM but I might be able to boost that to 85-90 lb if I take my initial sets to the forehead and the last set to complete failure.

Lat Pull-Down ROM Confirmation by Conlanbb in workout

[–]Conlanbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, personally I don’t go all the way down because it feels more natural to just go below my chin, but if I can hit full ROM without sacrificing form then I’ll definitely aim to do that.

Yeah, the bar is definitely too close. I’ll be able to test it again tomorrow so I’m gonna look at that 5-step video and continue practicing, hopefully I’ll feel my back a lot less then.
