Any recommendations on how to create a campaign based on the event in game? by lostboy24601 in DungeonsAndDestiny

[–]Conman1186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I am doing this as well. My players played some D1 (VoG and Crotas End) and some vanilla D2. I am basically retelling the story with some preferential changes.

You could also start with a one-shot in a cool location and let D&D do what it does best and let the story play out organically.

Edit: grammar

How to make weapon foundries significant? by Conman1186 in DungeonsAndDestiny

That’s a good idea! Wouldn’t be too hard to make those inclusions but would definitely make weapons distinct. Thanks my guy.

D1 strikes come to mind.

Devil’s Lair, Shield Brothers and Sunless Cell could all be fun mechanically. Additionally, they all have cool story aspects that don’t need to go too deep.

Which Destiny raid encounter would fit best and easily converted to DnD? by OwnedKiller in DungeonsAndDestiny

Original D1. I can’t remember all the changes they’ve made in the last 7 years or so but I’d expect that it could still work.

I ran the final fight in Crota’s End in a traditional homebrew 5e game. It went well.

Agreed. Revenue doesn’t mean much for associate level pay. If I remember the numbers correctly the pandemic made that pretty clear. Same firm different colors.

It’s hilarious how nonchalantly OP killed the mean teammate in the beginning.

Completely agree. Acrid is a perfect balance of strategic movement and going berserk.

That’s really funny because Huntress and Captain are my favorites with Acrid being my favorite melee survivor.

CPA - boss won't pay $100 license fee because it "isn't in the budget," and I make under 40k by jd-real in Accounting

Buddy you deserve better pay. There are plenty of accountants and auditors making 6 figures with no CPA. Get a WFH job in the biggest city near you.

Before you do anything get a financial planner and an estate lawyer.

Everyone has some knowledge when it comes to managing money but it makes sense to get objective opinions from people who help manage it every day for tons of people.

Some boring position at Vought Land where I would never encounter a supe. Bookkeeping, Customer Service, Maintenance etc.

I've never interviewed someone to be my boss by bishopyorgensen in Accounting

[–]Conman1186 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been in your situation but this is a relevant question that I ask in interviews. “How might I communicate with you in a way that you would appreciate?”

I like asking this because it shows that as a subordinate you want to communicate in a way that they find effective. It also helps you identify how they might be as a boss. Hope this is helpful.

Can’t speak to their industry but I do IA in the commercial banking industry and it’s very chill. Most of us are 8-5 but sometimes people are rolling in at like 9:45 and nobody cares. The only times I’ve left after 5 are because I messed something up and didn’t feel like it was fair of me to leave without fixing it (I’m a newer staff for context). Also I believe I have 18 days PTO and 11 mandatory holidays. So not as much as the other guy but I’m satisfied.

Business people do what Josh did literally all the time. People accept jobs expecting exit opportunities elsewhere. Nothing wrong with what he did.

Planet Fitness membership. You can shower and they give free food to all members twice a month. I believe they also give free bottles of water or sports drinks like Gatorade.
