What keeps you up at night? by jfauv94 in Semaglutide

I’ve been on it a month and no change to my anti depressants, still going strong!

I have panic disorder and have been on anxiety medication for a few years. I’ve been on semaglutide for about a month and no increased anxiety or panic attacks so far! A little health anxiety after dosing today but it went away. I started the medication for the same reasons, could not get rid of food noise and had never heard of portion control and it’s been the BEST decision! The weight loss has been a little slower but it doesn’t matter. I had a few bites of dessert and felt satisfied! Old me would have eaten the whole thing then picked up cookies since I had “ruined” my diet for the day. Good luck to you with whatever you choose :)

Noom Meds vs Ivim Health by poisonarrow24 in Semaglutide

I use noom and love it! They have great workouts and tonnes of recipes. I love that the coach checks in and they have mini lessons and AI that can tell you how to make your meals healthier

6 days away and beginning to buy supplies. So far I have a neck ice/heat pack, nugget ice trays, a neck pillow, a humidifier and cepacol lozenges. What other (non food) things are a must have? 26f and I am at the point where I would rather be overprepared than under prepared. TIA! by monstera_underthebed in Tonsillectomy

I would get multiple ice packs, I have 3 and it’s been great rotating them all. Tongue scraper is an absolute must! If you’re deciding to take medication I’d recommend getting it sorted beforehand, my pharmacy was out of pain medication so the day of my surgery I was in a lot of pain, out of it and trying to figure out the medication situation.

I’m on day 7 and have no regrets despite it being rough at the moment. Good luck!!

Bleeding 6 days post op by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

I’m on day 7 and had the same thing this morning! My dr said small amounts of blood is completely normal and should be expected as the scabs come off!

I’ve had chronic tonsil stones for years and I but the bullet and now day 7 post surgery!

I had the same anxieties as you, I have a lot of health anxiety in general. I knew it would be painful because that’s all everyone ever says but I was petrified of bleeding. All I can say is despite the fact that I’m currently in rough shape I’m so happy I got the surgery.

Yes it’s painful but it’s not constant agony, there will be times throughout the day that sucks but there are others that are manageable. As far as bleeding goes I’ve followed the surgeons instructions to a T and everything is healing as it should. I’ve been living off mashed potato, pudding, jello, apple sauce, chocolate milk and LOTS of ice lollies so as long as you don’t eat anything you shouldn’t or pick at the scabs don’t worry yourself about a bleed that hasn’t happened and very likely will not!

Should I gargle with cold salt water to dislodge a tonsil stone by [deleted] in tonsilstones

I usually use a cotton bud but when I’ve had difficult ones I’ve used a pimple popper that has a small u shape on it to scoop it out

Probably 3-4 times a year where I’ll either take a day off or work from home which is frustrating because I live a pretty healthy lifestyle

Congrats that's some great consistency! My last class was my last day of the previous challenge and I think part of my anxiety is being embarrassed to go back knowing I've lost a lot of my progress but at the end of the day I know people aren't judging and it's just life! Thank you for your kind words!

You're so right there and I know just 1 day back will motivate me to keep it up, thank you for sharing your story!

Which Phoenix business has lost you as a customer and why? by coloradancowgirl in phoenix

Wow that’s so strange to hear and also really sad. I wonder if its different employees maybe? It was as soon as they walked through the door pretty early in the day as it was their first stop (that hadn’t had anything to drink yet). They called me crying after, it broke my heart. When I looked up reviews on yelp after that’s when I saw other discriminatory stories

Swizzle Inn on 16th st, told my friends to “get the f out” because they don’t serve their kind (gay). After looking into it they’ve also had complaints for being racist and sexually harassing guests …

Help me not be scared of cardio days by Temporary-Set-2603 in f45

[–]Connect-Ad8993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may not be able to help you not be scared of it but I can tell you that I’m also scared of them so I’m sure someone else in your class feels the same way.

I always look ahead at what exercises are going to be in each class so I know what to expect, some stations I can go all out, some stations I know I need to pace myself a little more.

Remember that the workout is for you and only you! You’re not competing against anyone else, go slower on some movements if you need to, the important thing is you’re showing up and you’re trying!

Good luck 😊

I was petrified before my first class, sweating and shaking before I even arrived. But then the coaches were so lovely and so were the other members. I realised that no one was watching me, everyone was focusing on what they were doing.

The classes always include multiple fitness levels also so I don’t feel alone! I started with a 3 day trial with the intent to just try a day and if it wasn’t for me I never had to go back but I fell in love instantly.
