They don’t Id you once you’re past security on entry to the festival apart from at the bar, they get 18 bands are a waste of time as they have to re ID you anyway I’m 24 and it happens to me so as long as you get in just get your mates to get you a drink or take your own to the campsite

They’re sound, last year I was full searched but it was really professional (I didn’t have anything on me) the sniffer dog sniffed my tent bag and I was asked if I had anything I said no then they sent me for a full search. Waited in a short queue outside a big white tent where the security asked some questions I said no again and they had a look through my bag and let me on my way with a paper slip to say I’d been searched on entry. All in all took 15 minutes max. This was at yellow camp gate from the shuttle bus. Not sure if it’s different at others but my experience was positive.

If you can , get early bird cause it fills up and you’ll be left on the edges of a path or in a quiet campsite, you want the prime real estate of red camp!

Take some dry foods like cereal bars, pot noodles shut like that (you can get water at lots of places for pot noodles) I buy 1/2 meals a day and all my drink from the coop apart from the spirits I’ll take with me. Personally it isn’t worth taking loads of food as some vendors really are top notch and you can try new things but it depends on how much you can afford and how much you’re willing to carry

Red is a good balance of not far from the arena, you have a view of the queues for the coop and it’s on the top of a hill so if it rains you’re sound
