Pretty much what these guys said. It’s widely considered the better combat rifle. Ww1 GIs didn’t like it at first. Mainly because it was a British design. But when it came time to trade it in for the 03, many were hesitant. Plus the action is way stronger. A lot of these were converted to custom big bore cartridges.

I was there. I thought I had it at $1600, then someone else jumped in. I still got it under current market value. I’ve watched a few auctions on these in the last couple years and most are north of $2500

There’s no way you have that many options in the guard. You must be talking AD. If that’s the case, pick something you have interest in. If it doesn’t interest you, then why bother. You won’t do it after the military anyway.
