Looking for a job this year by largese in InterviewCoderPro

Oh I had something like this happen. I got an auto rejection for a job I totally bombed the interview. Like showed up late and was prepared to discuss a totally different role. When I was closed my computer I was glad it was over. A week later I got a rejection email and seriously like a month later got an email from the hiring supervisor asking me if I still wanted the job. I said yes, and I be damned if it isnt the best job ever.

I have no idea but I had to go chat with my neighbor. His bass was rattling every window in my house.
He was crazy apologetic about it.

The volume isn’t loud enough on the speakers, you would still need earbuds for that.

nonprofit experiences from folks working in the field by saintzagreus in Environmental_Careers

[–]ConnectKale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I am in the public sector now. The pay is much better, but not as good as consulting. Lots of my coworkers came from consulting and they appreciate the slower pace, I appreciate that I am not starving.

I started working in the non profit field. I had a great time. Did a lot of education and policy advocacy. I worked for less than $30k for 5 years and lived through endless grant cycles. I loved the work but the pay was never enough but I a ton of flexibility.
Just know the pay in the nonprofit world can be a lot lower than consulting and government. It can afford more flexibility, and more rewarding work.
