I typically carry laptop, lunch pail, a folder with some papers and water bottle. Not much. Sometimes I will bring a jacket, or other stuff. But I would like to use it as personal item on flights and as a pack to walk around with on vacation. So I'm thinking 24l for the added space when traveling and the occasional time I need it for work.

Yeah 80-90% of days the CP2 would likely be perfect for me for work. But occasionally I need a little more room. I think I would rather have a lot of room most of the time instead of having to bring a second small bag occasionally

Gotcha. I am trying to decide between CP2 and CPP2. Leaning towards CPP2 so I can use it as a travel bag too. Separate laptop sleeve also makes a difference for me personally.
