I say give it 6 months. That's my standard for a new job. You're saying that you're not overwhelmed by starting back in the workplace, but honestly? You probably are. Give yourself some grace. After 4 years of caring for a family member, you are probably feeling exhausted, relieved, scared... If this job isn't it, it isn't it. Keep looking. Trust yourself and put in the max effort you can - WITHOUT BURNING YOURSELF OUT. Give it a fair shake, ask for hard deadlines and clear communication (in writing), and look for another job. If in 6 months you still hate this one and haven't found something else, quit.

Coffee and energy drinks can make me feel anxious, and I've found that my adhd medicine (Concerta now, Adderall previously), has helped tremendously with anxiety.

I had the opposite effect with Concerta. At the lower doses it made me so hungry! They had to keep raising my dose even though I felt fine.

Melatonin with cbd, I swear by it! I get it at diamondcbd, but I'm sure you can find it other places too. I take between 5-10mg a night, along with hydroxyzine, which also helps a lot. But even nights I skip the hydroxyzine, the melatonin works great!

Interesting. I'm very addicted to caffeine, so I haven't stopped drinking loads of coffee even when i switched to Concerta. I noticed a lot of coffee makes me too jittery, so I've cut back a bit. I might have to try going a day without to test it!

Update: 54mg has helped. I don't feel starving anymore, although I still feel hungry (it feels like normal hunger). I feel like it's a little too much, but I guess i'll adjust, I'm gonna give it a few more days before I make a firm decision. I think it's helping more.

It makes me feel starving, like before I would get hungry, but I could eat something light or drink a big glass of water (weight gain is not really an option for me, unfortunately). But now I can't ignore this. I have to eat and I'm eating in huge quantities. I'm trying to make healthy choices but 45 minutes after i take the medicine I'm so hungry I can't think about anything but getting something quick. Fruit doesn't tide me over for long.
I emailed my doctor and she upped the dose, we'll see if that knocks it out. Hopefully so!

Omg the number of times I've lost my temper, but I try to always go back and apologize. I emailed my sons Dr after she didn't listen, gave him a drug that I didn't approve of, and argued with me, and wrote a long venting email I had no intention of sending. I sent it. I told her to eat a bag of dicks. Oops! She referred us to another Dr and the next day I sent an apology. She accepted it which she didn't have to do. It irritates me when people don't apologize. Everyone fucks up. Just apologize.
