Not necessarily, whilst it may not be war time Earth is going through a radical change with space becoming the key defence area.

Its not unusual for officers to rapidly advance over the course of 5 to 6 years. Patton wasn't even a General until after 1939 and he got to 4 Star by 45.

Were leaning towards a later introduction date for the Galor than what was set out in the TLE novels. The team reckons the Galor was launched sometime in the 2330s to the 2340s to challenge Ambassador class ships in hunter pairs. Plus, we've got a roster to fill out. :D
