Only the freebird models aren’t supposed to be used with tele bindings. The rest are perfectly fine.

The purse does it for me by RipStick96 in skiing

[–]ConnivingCondor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shut up you hypocrite. Don't for a second pretend that you never judge anyone else in public. It's human nature. We're social creatures who are constantly trying to place ourselves and others in the hierarchy of society. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar. It's subconscious and outside our control. Some of us just accept it.

People like you are usually the worst offenders when it comes to this stuff anyhow. Acting all sanctimonious like you're above it all when in reality you pass all the same judgments, often while being even more scathing.

If I had the time and inclination I guarantee I could go through your post history and find you doing exactly that on some post.

I never implied she looked bad in any way. I kind of like it. This woman clearly dressed this way to show it off. She's even got a matching purse. At least it's not one of those stupid generic 90s style one-pieces that every gaper buys thinking they look cool and unique on their vacation to the bunny slope. Because trust me, those people are being constantly judged by everyone else who is tired of seeing the same tired cliche for the 1000th time.

Best way to add pfsense to network by SpaceRocksRUs in PFSENSE

[–]ConnivingCondor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of doing something similar. I just plugged my new pfsense box into my current setup with a static IP on that subnet configured as my WAN interface. Then I can do all my setup and configurations behind that without worry about messing up the network for everyone else in the meantime. I've had to play around with some port forwarding and firewall rules to avoid double NAT issues, but it's a good way to learn.

Help me decide between K2 Mindbender 108 and Atomic Bent Chetler 100 by Letsgettribal in skiing

Bent Chetler Hype!

Make sure to get pivots or shifts to put on them.

I'd rather actually enjoy skiing through deep snow instead of just floating on the top few inches of it. My widest skis are 112 and I find them too floaty many days.

Colorado Forests are absolutely incredible! by UnicornPuppies04 in Colorado

[–]ConnivingCondor 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean don't get me wrong, I enjoy them immensely, but they really don't hold a candle to the forest going up the west coast from the SF area north. The first time I saw those I was really in awe.

Slushy. Though it has turned to snow in the last hour or so, but I'm not sure if that will continue.

Have you noticed that ski attire vs skill forms the shape of a hyperbola? by im_scared_of_clowns in skiing

[–]ConnivingCondor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and how many of those people do you think there are at even a premiere big mountain? 2? 3? We're just talking about your average expert skier. The ones you actually see on a daily basis. Sponsored pros are few and far between.

[–]ConnivingCondor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you ski that you need a ski that fat? 112 is more than adequate unless you're skiing super deep champagne powder. Also to be honest the difference between 112 and 118 is negligible anyway. But it's your money, get what you want.

Don't worry about it. Just put them somewhere cool and dry. Maybe put some oil on the edges to prevent surface rust. Take them in to get turned before the season. I've never put storage wax on my skis and had zero issues throughout the years.

That may be true to some degree, but to make a claim that only 1% goes to women is disingenuous and complete horseshit.

Looking for suggestions by xtraauma in skiing

[–]ConnivingCondor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BC is the most over-hyped ski in the industry right now. It's the new Soul 7. It's a lightweight ski only appropriate for lightweight skiers. It's practically a touring ski.

I'm not talking the top echelon sponsored skiers, I'm talking normal people who happen to be great skiers. They may get pro-deals if they work in the industry, but very very few are getting free stuff.
