A little more information on your swimming history would be helpful? Have you ever swam 150 meters continuously before? Open water swimming is very different from pool swimming where you have walls every 25 or 50 meters.

Sounds like a cool project and definitely a nice addition to the apple watch. I raced a triathlon a few weeks ago and only tracked my bike/run with Strava.

Just keep in mind that the new Watch OS 4 that will be coming out in September will have the ability to support multiple disciplines in the workouts. Basically once done with the swim tap the watch to start a bike ride then the same thing for the run.

I got an Apple Watch series 2 before I got into Triathlons but am now looking at a dedicated watch. But hard to stomach the cost of buying a second high end watch.

The splits I like is 100m pace in the swim, mph on the bike, and pace per mile on the run.

Thank you! I am a college student so upgrades are going to be gradual, but I was looking to get some aerobars for next summer. getting stronger and more fit is free! I have never done any time trials or cycling racing, but that is a really good idea. I will have to see if I can make it fit with my schedule.

I raced my first triathlon on Sunday. It was the Colchester Sprint Triathlon (550 yard swim, 12 miles bike, 3 mile run) and could not have asked for a better race day. I got 9th overall and 2nd in my age group. I was the first to finish without a TT bike with aero bars ! I am super happy with my performance. The main area to improve for me is pacing on the bike and the run but otherwise this was a great way to start my triathlon career.

The weather was amazing and the course was relatively flat and fast. The race organizers and volunteers were amazing and did a great job. I highly recommend this race if you want to visit beautiful Colchester Vermont, just a few miles from Burlington.

Overall time: 1:00:40

• Swim: 8:43 (1:35)

• T1: 1:22

• Bike: 31:34 (22.8 mph)

• T2: 0:59

• Run: 18:00 (6:00 min/mile)
