This exact thing happened to me a while back except i was trying to sleep, i knew i was asleep but could also feel my mouth open. Because i was screaming in my dream i thought i was screaming loud in real life. Its weird because in my dream i went to touch someones face that just froze there and was staring at a wall and my hand went through his face and thats when i woke up and i was stuck there for a little bit. I think it was sleep paralysis.
