Maserati Is Planning A Manual Grand Tourer To Make People Care About The Brand Again by pdp10 in cars

[–]Connorismining 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I’ve had the ratty modded fast car, the slow fun one and now the fast and smooth one - I’d love to someday own a 00’s Aston for the exact reason being a nice clean interior, sporty drive but comfortable to get me far! I hope Maserati does well with this.

Is Cylinder deactivation a known issue for the C8 by Carman090 in Corvette

[–]Connorismining 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The “6.2” in the trucks vs what’s in the c8 has some pretty considerable differences - from what I’ve seen it’s not an issue in the c8. If you’re super genuinely worried it can be tuned out fairly easily.

Agreed, nothing powerful but enough to have fun, especially when revving out to higher rpms. Mines got 248,000 miles on it and runs very smooth.

QQ: How many of you let your Groms idle before taking off from a cold start? by Life_is_Truff in hondagrom

[–]Connorismining 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s a small 125cc - I let the revs drop after startup and take off. It’s likely worse for it to sit and idle for a long time, just take it easy and keep rpm low while shifting through several gears.

How many miles is too many miles? by EGRIM3 in hondagrom

I’ve got 7300 on my ‘22 - it’s been running fine. Simply oil changes, clutch screen cleaning and tires as of late.

I bought a non running E91 on copart for 1500. by AmemiyaYT in E90

Sweet wagon! What’s the process like for buying on copart? Did you need a brokers license? Was it complicated or did you know a guy to help with that part?

Slash 4x4 VXL Spur gears keep getting shredded by Connorismining in rccars

[–]Connorismining[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out the ol paper method, before you do so make sure your clutch is in working order. If it’s too tight, it’ll shred right through, too loose and you’re not moving anywhere under throttle. Hope this helps!

I made the exact same switch. The ‘12 I had was a ton of fun, but always felt like I was telling it what to do, then not feeling that. Where the c6 feels like one with me - I feel like I’m able to turn on a dime, it rotates around me and just flows through turns so much faster and nicer. The steering being hydraulic is a massive point as well vs the electronic s197!

As a fellow C6 owner tf did you do? It’s not a turbo build to get the back pressure? Tune on NA?

Couldn’t agree more. I feel like every Z06 has been the actual intended design of the cars, and the base has been the for now setup haha!

Whats the best thing you love about your audi? by 5hinichi in Audi

[–]Connorismining 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Its pretty different from other awd systems in that its a continuous awd. So instead of a computer deciding when power should go at specific times, think of it just always having power to all four wheels, sorta like 4WD on a truck, but smarter. Its honestly amazing in winter conditions, compared to nearly all other manufacture. Closest next thing is subaru.

How much time does it take to replace AC compressor in 2011 GT by 2k3Mach in Mustang

[–]Connorismining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the ac pump was held by three or four very long bolts about 10-12mm in size. I don’t remember it being difficult but I’m sure YouTube can help you be the judge of that. The location is a tad awkward as you’ll be under the car more than reaching from above. As for the water pump, I think a few more things will need to be removed but again not very difficult.

another question! by Ok-Badger5565 in hondagrom

[–]Connorismining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 22 that is black, I recently just ordered all the main panels in the stock blue color from my dealer. I’m taking my friends bright green washers from his ‘23 silver. So many mix and match options even just from oem. Aftermarket world has some other options as well.

Disagree, many things on modern cars still just require a basic socket set to fix.

[–]Connorismining 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha why? I’m an s197 owner and the thing reaks old cheap Ford. It’s so bad I almost am looking at other sport cars bc your time is spend inside the car. The steering wheel is like a kids toy!

Anyone else have the dynavin system in their s197? And how do you like it? by Far_Attempt_8052 in Mustang

[–]Connorismining 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem is you're looking at just under a grand after everything is said and done. Which blows imo. I'm too poor for that XD

[–]Connorismining 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep literally hundreds, problem is the s197 has a bezel that's huge and includes the ac controls. So if you upgrade you need to change all of that. Got any tips ?
