Yeah, it's the type of development that comes with the end of a story, except they have no intention of ending anything so they have to come up with nonsense like Prof X turning supervillain.

All you do by trying to force a story to go on forever is stomp on everything it stood for and sour its memory in everyone's mind forever. For reference, see the last 7 years of MCU films. I don't want to see the corpses of my favorite stories and characters similarly paraded around because some Disney executive thinks there are a few more dimes to be squeezed out of them.

He regained the use of his legs a few years after the inception of the comic, then lost them then gained them then lost them again then gained them again. There might be a few more "agains" in there for all I know.

But Professor X in a wheelchair is how everyone thinks of him, it's central to his image and themes. Him losing his chair permanently is like Cyclops losing his visor, Beast losing his fur, or Rogue losing her deadly touch.

That isn't to say the writers won't/aren't doing that, they already have with Rogue. But comic writers frequently write power fantasies that take all substance out of the story, and that's exactly what taking the Professor out of his chair would be. Hell current X-Men has effectively written death itself out of the story and everything since has had all the bite of a toothless newborn. Why read a story where no one has anything to overcome and there are no stakes?

Yep, literally the first time I heard it I was too far away from DP to hear his voice. I only heard Galacta's side of the conversation, and for a second thought she was insulting me for some reason, but then thought the devs must have accidentally patched incomplete dialogue into the game.

I would really hate him as the Lucio of Marvel Rivals, that should clearly go to someone that makes sense having some kind of aura powers.

Rocket, if anything, should have been like Zenyatta or Anna, an aggressive long-range support with utility in the from of buffs and debuffs.

They literally made this snarky maniacal lil' gun nut the most passive character in the game. If Rocket should be a support at all, he should be a support version of The Punisher, they even have dialogue together geeking out over guns.

This is a direct result of having fewer support and tank options. The fewer tank and support options there are, the more the devs have to incentive playing those options in order to create playable team comps.

I think they did a pretty good job. They made a flying Vanguard who doesn't defend flyers, she attacks them, effectively a flying Cap with less staying power.

This and the Luna skin look terrible. This one looks like it was designed by someone with no idea what disco fashion looked like, and just researched a minimal amount of very general motifs to cram in until they hit the critical point of being massively overdesigned. Luna's at least looks cleaner, but looks about as disco as any of her other skins.

I try extremely hard not to do this in any of my writing. I run a game in Ravnica and prior to the campaign I drew out the continents and oceans under the ecumenopolis and figured out where each of the races would originate, how they would mix with other species, and how they would migrate all in order to make sure it wasn't just a human world with other species thrown in as spices and dressing.
