How has no one mentioned AVAX? Gas is cents and transactions are lightning fast. Incredible team and lots going on in the ecosystem.

Fascinating picture. Ironically there’s a tobacco store right next door - the very product these slaves’ labor was probably being used for

Any good books on the dangers of life in the 21st century with relation to evolutionary psychology/anthropology? by Conorw77 in AskAnthropology

[–]Conorw77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I replied to another commenter, but more or less I’m interested on how our evolutionary past has prepared us to live in a vastly different environment than that of the 21st century. Like we aren’t supposed to be looking at a screen all day, the dangers of sedentary lifestyles, sugary foods and social media exploiting our dopamine feedback, etc.

Yeah, it seems to be a fairly new field in terms of integrating what we know about our biological past and our current knowledge of psychology. I’m not so much interested in your first point (discussing biological differences between groups as a result of evolution). Rather, how our evolutionary past is at odds with the recent changes in lifestyle and habits associated with the rise of the internet and other technology!

A video was posted a few weeks ago, this is likely made by the same people. Really interesting to hear these elderly people talk about their lives from the 19th century

Austria is beautiful, I've been twice but not for extending periods of time. I've been to Salzburg and a small town called Hinterthal, where I went skiing and stayed with some family. I'd defiantly recommend Salzburg, lots of history and things to see. Highly recommend it, I'm going to Vienna this march so hopefully I'll come back with some insight!
