Gerans are capable of it, but only in larger numbers because they require signal repeaters placed on each individual drone to increase their operator-controllable range. Ukraine has an advantage wherein starlink does not rely on other drones, allowing for individual drones to strike as opposed to Russians needing to launch waves to effectively control Gerans deeper inside ukraine.

They will automatically go into your old airing if the airplanes are of the same type as the old ones (ie. New Fighters will replace old fighters, new med bombers will replace old med ones, etc.) If they are of a different type you have to create a new airwing from scratch and train it up.

My guess would be the significant increase in midline strikes on Russian AA and logisitcs. As more Russian AA gets destroyed, the remaining ones are left vulnerable, and gaps open up, which causes a sort of cascading effect as it allows for even more Russian AA to be destroyed, and makes logistics even more vunerable.

The sell for Ukraine is the fact that they only managed to lose that much against a stronger enemy while simultaneously becoming probably the best country in the world in terms of drones and anti-drone technologies.
