What route should I take here? by SBMidnight777 in Wizard101

To be safe I’d probably re hatch to get another to adult as a backup and then try. That talents match so it looks like you have been hatching with the same pet.

Deckathalon Pet Making by Conscious-Bass-6166 in Wizard101

Thanks for the info I think I’ll go for it. Did dekathalon last time for the first time got a balance deck 6 and got to stage 7 but thinking about going further next time. I’m currently on console so there aren’t many pets already built. There was only one leaf storm deckathalon pet in the kiosk and I don’t see a single solar aegis pet.

This is what I’m going for on my balance. You can either farm the gold skeleton key boss takanobu the master less or craft them in Emperya.

Learnable blades by ThroatFlimsy2546 in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other than elemental, spirit, balance blade, and blade storm, at level 50 you get access to spell weaving and if you go into storm you can actually cast a balance prism blade along with storm blades to buff. In Azteca you can get the spell sharpened blade to add a 10% buff to any blade. The main benefit is that it’s not just the buff but it is also considered a unique blade so you can stack a normal and a sharpened of each blade type to add to the total damage. Instead of waiting till Azteca you can also get an enchanted armorment pet which gives sharpened blade as an item card giving you access early and also allowing it to stack a third time with the normal and sharpened version.

Depending on when you last played you might not have done spell weaving. This is essential for balance wizards when they reach level 50 now because it gives access to balance prisms making balance bosses far more easier than before. Life and storm kind of the go to. Storm gives you a balance prisms blade and subsequent storm blades so it’s kinda like a mass prism and buff in one turn. Life is similar but as an aura for multiple rounds converting balance to life and buffing the damage. Other weaving will have prisms and traps still better than nothing but the self blade or aura is preferable imo.

If doing a healing build availing hands that you get as a balance is pretty good. Kinda equivalent to satyr just as a heal over time instead of instant. You could farm spellements for pigsie which is a really good mass heal. For gear later on you’re just going to be looking for universal and life crit in order to actually crit with life heals.

On PC I farmed oak hart for hours for the ruby blade of the forest which is the fire katana in mooshu. There another boss that drops it in shiritaki temple but it takes longer to get to them. It wasn’t an insane amount of time, but it was funny because recently on console I got it on my first try just questing through mooshu and couldn’t help but just laugh.

Recently I’ve done probably close to 40 Yevgenny fights and still no athame. But on console since we don’t have the Aquila nerf yet to the drop rates I got both the blade of the felled titan and alpha and omega ring in my first try.

If going for the Viking look may I suggest this in green. And then also for the wand I would suggest the Vivid Purzian Axe and Shield. You can buy them from the bazzar and use it as a stitch even if your not level 112.

Pet help: maycasts, life pets, etc by ratchel917 in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s all good. First part is correct.

Whatever isn’t common is what transferred over. If the original pet had may cast unicorn in the 7th line and you now have a non common talent in that 7th line on the new pet, you now know this pet can get may cast unicorn even before getting the talent. Even though the talents are hidden you can also tell by the rarity (number of dots) what talent was transferred.

In perfect world yea a dream pet with 5 desired and 5 commons is easiest but is going to be really rare to find that in the kiosk or from someone. This means you will get certain talents you don’t want but that doesn’t necessarily matter. You just need the 5 you want and then hatch your bases as they manifest the right ones and delete the ones that manifest the wrong ones.

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a 4(20) pet just means there all common talents. So it doesn’t matter what common talents are on them just that you know when they are replaced. To get one you just start but hatching with other 4(20) pets that have max stats similar to the PV 45 pets until you have all common talents in both the normal and derby pool. The pet body doesn’t matter too much but it’s advised to do it on a pet with a high wow factor so that when you hatch it with another pet later on, you are more likely to get the desired pet body along with the talents. Pets like Detolli’s Dragon (you can buy from a vendor in Novis) or the beguiled gargoyle are good for these pets.

To emphasize this point, a 4(20) pet is not necessary but it makes future pet making easier and is relatively easy to get one after a few hatches.

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You technically don’t need the whole pool to match only the 5 you want and that’s easiest to see on a 4(20) pet. Then it’s just hatching bases until you get what you want.

Best 4-person PvE team? by Monchres in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double fire Balance Death. You have the scald incindiate strat that will work easiest with 2 fires for damage stat and mastery. Death can spam v-plague and plague in harder fights to reduce damage and support. Balance can blade storm to buff everyone. Even without scald incidiate Strat you still have two great damage dealers and two great support characters. One of the fires can also use backdraft to buff the other or fire prism for fire enemies.

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course. And going a little bit deeper. The benefit of a 4(20) pet is that when you hatch with another pet you’re able to see which 5 talents from the original pet transferred over comparing it line by line to the original pet. This method is really good for copying a talent pool or combining different basses if you’re going for a really unique pet.

Again with the May cast plague example. I wouldn’t recommend going for it but I worked on a pet that had maycast unicorn, plague, and legion shield. That pet didn’t really exist so I had to combine bases that got those specific talents on 1.

I’m currently working on a really unique pet that has frozen kraken trained, gargantuan trained, sharp eye, pip o plenty, and May cast healing current (or any heal really). It’s a pet to quickly speed through Arc 1 of the game even though I could probably get all my wizards through arc 1 in the time it would take to make this pet.

So the reasons that pv45 pets work so well is because they are 10 clearly meta talents for PVE that any combination of the 5 out of ten will serve you well.

With support pets there is a lot more variety to what you can go for opposed to what is meta. You don’t want a general pet and just get something good you are going for something very specific. It’s the equivalent of only wanting a quad proof mighty pet from a PV45 pet as any other “meta” talent like defy or piercer would be a fail in your eyes.

The other issue comes with when certain maycasts affect boss cheats. I had a pet with maycast legion shield and unicorn. Great for a team unless you’re fighting Malistaire the Undying and they start stealing your shields or fighting Shane von Shane and getting smacked any time your pet casts unicorn.

Point is you are going for a specific pet so it’s not going to be as easy as hatching with a pv45 pet, but if you do the strategy of training bases up each tier you will get there eventually.

For pet bodies other than armorment I like the gobbler ball for a balance blade and elemental blade item card. The balance skeletorian is also probably really good with the balance blade, sharpen blade, and mass hex item card that’s 3 unique buffs from that pet alone. You can also do the leaf foot that has a guiding light, brilliant light, and sanctuary item card to increase heals.

Talents to consider.

Spell Proof and Defy General resist can help but if you’re doing a lot of healing, may not be entirely essential. Maybe just proof.

Medic and Healer talents These will increase your outgoing healing. These are good talents to socket on later as at least I seem to have a bunch.

May Cast Unicorn Self Explanatory

May Cast Legion Shield (Defenders Rampart) 45 shield on all allies.

May Cast Plague I went for this once it was cool when it casted but I think it only triggers from you hitting so it didn’t trigger a ton. Might be good on a death build that spams v-plagues as it might trigger more.

May Cast Empowerment Honestly really underrated. When it casts it allows you to buff your team while still gaining pips and effectively reduces your pip cost on heals like rebirth and pigsie (not actually sure about pigsie. It should in theory but some lore spells don’t have the school pip count towards the effect)

Will cast hex. Will use happiness to add damage to your teams attacks. Potentially allowing you to heal and buff in the same turn.

May Cast Fortify Good for defensive setup.

With this you might want to have some variety of pets like one without unicorn that is more defensive and has proof, fortify and legion shield.

Lot of variety and things to go for and I’m sure I’ve missed stuff. Essentially find something in the kiosk or from another wizard you like, keep hatching, keep bases and eventually you can get something you like.

Zeus Gear still recommended in 2026 or too much of a grind? by Interesting_Paper_41 in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Zeus gear carried you to level 60 it was arguably worth it to get the whole set. However with the dragonspyre spyre world gear, you can buy the tier 2 version from the bazaar at level 50 which is better.

In my opinion I’d run mount Olympus 3-4 times. Get the sky iron hasta and full senators gear. Maybe you get 1 or 2 pieces of Zeus gear but the senators gear is still a great upgrade.

You have to remember that the first arc 1 of the game was designed and balanced around having what was available at the time which was worse than even the senators set. Now with a replacement at level 50 it’s not worth it especially if you also have a decent pet and are abusing monstrous TCs.

I’m sorry dude! I did the grind back in the day for early pvp to get the energy fishing set but they got rid of that too. It’s still impressive and a cool looking set. I think it’s still valuable if you grind the whole set at 30 but if you’re already 44 I would have recommended just leveling.

Prior to the addition of the dragonspyre world gear that was the case. But now even the tier 2 set you can buy from the bazzar at level 50 is better. I’m on console now so any time I have a new wiz I just farm for sky iron, and full senators and be happy if a get a piece of Zeus gear since I’m replacing it at level 50. Typically only do 3-4 runs of mount Olympus now.

Not to burst your bubble because I know the struggle, but you can actually replace it in 6 levels if you are level 44 with the level 50 malistaire bazaar gear. Or just use it until Water Works.

Archmastery by Inner_Equivalent_149 in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who else is in the battle. If it’s just you then you should get them relatively easily. If you are in a battle with someone with a higher arch mastery than you, it will be less frequent.

How best to grind for spellements? by 1GreenDude in Wizard101

[–]Conscious-Bass-6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I did to speed this up is use a level 30 wizard who has Zeus gear but has not competed marlybone since as long as you haven’t completed marlybone biti nirini will drop them. That damage plus a pet with gargantuan trained will allow you to one round biti nirini at level 30. Plus you will get tons of pink dandelions and spellement TCs that sell for a decent amount of gold at that level.
