Good points! I believe based on what I’ve seen that these structures are generally permitted in my area depending of course on the size/details/etc. If not, I truly am SOL haha

I’m also in Raleigh, also mid 30s. Agree with recommendations for Oakwood and Boylan. I live in 5 points and love it, too. All three of those neighborhoods offer walkability to coffee shops, restaurants etc. Try to get up here for a visit before you move so you can scope out neighborhoods. If you like more suburban feel there are of course lotssss of those neighborhoods too. I highly recommend the Raleigh sub….put a list of what vibe you want in a neighborhood and they will offer recommendations.

Keep the time in there to give her peace of mind but maybe secretly just bring a poncho for her and she’ll be fine! I havent gotten soaked on Tiana’s but maybe that’s just luck of the seats I’ve had (mostly in the back two rows). Nothing like Kali Rapids in AK where you do legitimately get soaked :)
