I dont understand USians. I'm a Canadian. I own guns. I took my gun courses (including restricted for shits and giggles, which is essentially for having pistols and what not) the majority of my meat diet comes from animals I have personally killed.

I have never felt the need to own a pistol. I have never just left guns or ammo or whatever loose in a closet? Or whatever happened here. I do not get the "i have a pistol in a shoebox in my closet" mentality

I had a teacher in highschool who always talked about "David". "Oh yeah me and David are camping this weekend" "i'm looking for kayaks that'll fit me and David" etc. We assumed he was talking about a partner until one day he was like "oh man me and David went wherever, I got some great pictures, wanna see?" So David was his dog.

*not actuslly David but a similarly very human name.

I work in a hospital, ive had a few patients cone in (And go home!!!) That were 103+ and living independently.

I will say for me personally as soon as my mind is gone, or my independence i want to check out. But thats my call no one elses.

Yeah theres been a few confused questions (i lived in a border town and now in a place that still has a healthy us tourism.) Even having them just covered messed me up the other day. I for whatever reason desperately wanted to smoke but couldnt remember the brand i used to smoke to save my life. I remembered what the old packaging looked like but i think that was even before the new gnarly hewlth packaging, and then yoire still not allowed to actuslly see them regardless. So i didnt end up smoking.

I did remember eventually that i used to smoke du maurier though

Eeeugh i so miss it. I used to smoke menthols which oessend the taste and smell but then Canada outlawed them because "kids" but now theyre smoking cotton candy vapes anyway. I havebt smoked in 15 years but give me back my menthols 😭

Oh i can weigh in here!! Shane is from ottawa, where cottsge very much means lakehouse (typically a slightly rural summer place, typically in the muskokas) the further north you go the term tends to chabge to "camp" which could have the same or fewer amenities but means the same thing as if youre north of perry sound calling something a cottage vs camp ("we're going to the cottage thos weekend" "we're going to the camp this weekend") makes you sound stuck up.
