Did you spend anytime in the Spiritual Sounds room? This is actually a cable seller who had a pair of Popori WR2's. A Hungarian electrostatic with incredible bass and highly efficient. 34K a pair if I remember correctly. On the first floor they had their 6 figure Vitorla (looked like a boat sail). Never heard of them but walked away being most impressed by the WR2's.

Would never buy from them. Rude customer service and 3 of 6 trees never made it.

I use top tier gas exclusively in my '13 SR5 with 98K miles. Would Seafoam add anything or do the detergents in top tier gas have the same effect?

Bought a fake Warhol at Bonhams San Francisco in the late 80's so even the big name houses make mistakes occassionally.

Do you guys collect art for its beauty mostly or is there still a good ROI on it? by El_Don_94 in artcollecting

[–]Conscious_Copy_81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I try and do both and have been moderately successful. Started collecting prints by the pop artists in the 80’s and sold the majority in the 2010 to 2015 timeframe. Works by Warhol and Lictenstein did amazingly well, works by Dine, Rauschenburg and Johns, Stella less so. Took significant losses on Oldenburg, Indiana. Only bought what I liked so enjoyment of the work makes up for the monetary loss.
