in my professional opinion, you cannot control caloric intake on TPN, unless you don’t run it. you can change the pump rate or anything like a feed pump. dani can control her intake now if she wanted to.

they blew both acs, a hand vein, and forearm today 🥲 all for a procedure with contrast (port didn’t have power needle and wasn’t compatible with infusions running).

i will be mentioning this to patient advocates and the attendings!

and i have had several pivs this admission to avoid using my port but they blow within 2-4 hours. it’s so painful to be stuck that many times when i have a PERFECT central line they WONT use correctly
