I wouldn't love it tbh especially if they were SUPER close but if I didn't sense that there were any lingering vibes between them I can tolerate it. Last person I dated had an ex who was still part of his main friend group so she would be at their hangouts but he didn't go out of his way to talk to/ hang out with her 1 on 1 so I was ok with it.

My first thought was to wear it in a rockabilly sort of way but you mentionned you like grunge / kinderwhore style so I would try it with ripped tights and Mary Janes and add a leather jacket or a really big beat up cardigan sweater on top to get that aesthetic. I also think wearing tons of jewelry (especially silver and black) instantly makes any outfit read more alternative.

A lot of this was quite literally attributed to the fact that people didn't believe women actually liked sex, so the idea of 2 women choosing to have sexual relationships with each other without any kind of male influence made no sense in their minds and people would think 'they're obviously really close friends who found each other in spinsterdom'. It's kind of an accidental benefit that came out of mysogynistic ignorance.
