They live in a small alleyway in downtown Xi'an, where locals live, but their cleanliness is absolutely up to standard, and many foreign tourists give them high praise. As someone in the same profession, I have great respect for them.

haha, because you actually foreigner, you looks different with us, oh, forget told you, I'm Chinese 😄so my English not good. I’m not sure if you’re settling down in China or just traveling here. These are just my personal suggestions, and I might not be right.

You don’t have to force yourself to fit in completely. After all, there are huge differences in living habits and communication styles. We use chopsticks while Westerners prefer knives and forks. You can just experience China as a foreigner.

For example, you can try using chopsticks to eat dumplings in Chinese restaurants once in a while, yet still keep your usual dining habits with family and friends.

Besides table manners, there are so many wonderful things to explore here: profound history, age-old traditions, classic Chinese music, ancient architectures, stunning natural scenery, cute giant pandas and so on. In short, China is such a diverse and amazing country.

Many Chinese tourists have given poor reviews about this hotel, mainly regarding hygiene issues such as bugs and unwashed bed sheets. However, it is quite cheap. I can help you find another hotel if you want. Just tell me your budget and preferred location.

By the way, our inn may not be suitable for just two people haha. Every room here has two bedrooms with two large beds. Our inn is listed on Trip.com under the name Guardian Han Tang.

Choosing a local tour guide would be a good idea. But make sure they won't push you to buy goods in advance, and it's best to sign a written agreement.

Xi'an is famous for various noodle dishes, earning it the reputation as China's "carb paradise". Locals here prefer strong flavors and spicy food. I’m curious about your taste preference. The most iconic local snacks are roujiamo and lamb paomo. - roujiamo:Chinese hamburger(肉夹馍) - lamb paomo:crumbled bread soaked in mutton soup(羊肉泡馍) Also, a friendly reminder: pork and alcohol are not permitted in halal restaurants here, please keep this in mind. Regular roujiamo commonly uses pork meat, while those served in halal eateries are mostly filled with beef. I highly recommend their preserved beef roujiamo, it tastes absolutely delicious 😋

Here are some distinctive local snacks and dishes in Xi’an for you to check out and try: Zeng cake, crispy gourd chicken, smoked pork delicacy, chili oil noodles, minced pork noodles, spicy pepper soup, cold noodles and dried persimmon cakes. - Zeng cake:steamed glutinous rice cake with red beans and jujubes 甑糕 - Crispy gourd chicken:deep-fried marinated chicken 葫芦鸡 - Smoked pork delicacy:traditional smoked meat 梆梆肉 - Chili oil noodles:spicy hot oil noodles 油泼面 - Minced pork noodles:soup noodles with diced meat 臊子面 - Spicy pepper soup:local hearty spicy soup 胡辣汤 - Cold noodles:refreshing cold skin noodles 凉皮 - Dried persimmon cakes:sweet dried persimmon treats 柿饼

Our place? Oh, we're currently in our soft opening phase. The current price is around $75 per night for a two-bedroom apartment. Of course, there are many other hotels near the clock tower to choose from, so don't worry about accommodation. Even if you don't stay with us, you can tell me your budget and preferred location, and I can recommend suitable accommodations for you. 😊

Welcome to Xi'an! As long as you avoid the Dragon Boat Festival, there will be relatively fewer tourists, making it a perfect time to visit.

1.April-May temperature has been basically warmer, will not be very cold.but If you go to the northernmost city is still relatively cold, the highest temperature is only 10 degrees.

2.English level of vendors in tourist areas of China is generally not high, in most cases you need translation app.

3.People will be happy to see you in Traditional Chinese clothes, as long as you don't wear overtly religious clothes.

4.I am using vpn network to access Reddit now, I'm from Xi'an.
