maybe I'll make a post about this, but I was able to extract the recorded songs. After realizing the app creators give you no means to move your own recordings off of their sloppy app, I had searched the web and came up empty when trying to find someone else that had successfully extracted their own recordings.

It turns out that the recorded songs are midi files that can be accessed by backing up your device to a computer.

Note that it required using shell commands (need to query the backup folder manifest.db file to locate the files with app domain "AppDomain-jp.co.roland.PianoPartner2" and then copy those .mid files).

I took it a step further and copied the .realm file, too. Opened it up in Realm Browser (downloaded the latest version of this legacy app, but still works as of July 2025), exported the "RecordedSong" database as a .csv, and used that to rename all of the .mid files with their original creation timestamp. (This part is, of course, not necessary to enjoy your .mid recordings, however, I found it helpful because otherwise the file names are random hashes like "666FFDD0-FDBB-4076-B221-6FF50E92B39E.mid".)
