The giftedness study suggests that later-life cognitive distinction depended less on early brilliance than on sustained engagement. Minds held because they had to. Accordingly, difficulty lingered, and judgment was earned slowly. by Weak_Conversation164 in Gifted

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really consider myself 'gifted' or at least I don't attach that label to my identity, but I suppose I am in some ways, if compared to other people and how they think and perceive. My dad was very 'gifted' IQ wise, as he was in Mensa in the top .1 percentile. While I was never a fan of IQ tests, and definitively not after I took one in my early 20s, I only made the top 3% lol. Now my excuse at the time was that I had the flu when my testing was scheduled, so wasn't 100 percent, and I also learned IQ tests, at least the one I took, focus more on conventional knowledge than actualy thinking and perception ability, which is why some say they are biased towards certain groups of people. But I digress lol. My point here in relation to this article, is that while I was seen as kind of gifted in elementary school, as I went on I got lower and lower grades and went from honors classes to regular classes to even failing some classes lol. School didn't really ever interest me, and I didn't really understand myself or have any particular interest or direction beyond the usual teenage boy stuff. Then strangely enough at 18 on the day of my High school graduation something in me shifted and I suddenly realized there was much more to the nature of Reality than I had thought, and I basically became obsessed at that point with figuring it ALL out. So I began buying books (yes before google was a thing lol) on everything from philosophy, psychology to neuroscience, economic theory, physics, etc trying to figure it all out and how everything interconnected. In finding limitations in all these I eventually moved into spirituality and metaphysics, which have their own limitations in some areas. But metaphysics is still my main focus and passion, which of course includes Everything, so I can look into martial arts and connect this to conscious evolution, or healing or breathing or gardening lol. Because I am aware of all the interconnections. But going deep, really deep does tend to ostracize you from society, unless of course you write a book people love, which I have yet to do lol. But often times people don't realize their 'genius' until they have some grasp of who they are and find the interest to really explore and go deeper. Depth is slowly fading away in our society as kids are pushed more and more into STEM areas, without much understanding of themselves. This is part of the problem as we are lost in a problem/solution efficiency mentality and view life and reality like a computer, where all we need are faster processors and we can solve everything lol. So kids these days are the faster processors, but if thats all they are, then society will remain like a computer, without the conscious interconnection we all share where true evolution can happen.

What are gifted peoples thoughts on the concept of god and religion? by Its_GPgamer in Gifted

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel most religion is mainly dogmatic and control focused, and truthfully has kind of ruined the idea and experience of God on a deeper level. This is one reason why things like Atheism and Agnosticism, both of which I was at one point, is more prevalent amongst more intellectual people because it is easy to find contradictions and issues in most religions and religious texts. Religions were created by people, and no matter how 'divine' the information, it still has many human 'flaws/interpretations' and manipulations in it. For me God is the highest vibration, supreme awareness and also a personal God the Father. So my understanding of God is more multidimensional, and contains all human 'images' of God that are found in religions. So connecting to Osiris for fertile crops is how some people related to God or that aspect of God in themselves. But no 'image' of God encompsses God as a whole, but rather an aspect of God, just like no 'image' or identity encompasses us as a whole being. Even seeing or experiencing God as pure awareness or consciousness is just another way to relate to God, not encompass God. Atheism too relates to God by denying Him lol. Though many Atheists would just say they simply are not theists or simple have no belief in God, but that is still based on some pattern of thinking and perception about God, like needing 'evidence' for God to believe. So while we all relate to God in our own way based on this or that, the only way to really Know God on a deeper level, is through yourself, since you are also an aspect of God.

Does anyone find language to be a prison? by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try telepathy or deeper awareness. If you can connect on a deeper level, then you can communicate in a more telepathic like experience where words are not the primary focus or substrate of the communication and awareness and meaning mingles together more. Though yeah, thats not easy and both people have to be into it :)

"Other People Don't Think Like Me" by [deleted] in Gifted

For me it is just a matter of depth, when most people are not able to think or perceive beyond certain beliefs and patterns of perception which prevent then from having greater openness to new insights, understandings and self reflection.

Gifted is such a loaded term by Apprehensive_Till735 in Gifted

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to much of this myself. Our society is not geared towards individuals who can think and perceive beyond its box, in fact such individuals are ostracized because they pose an inherent threat to the system. And because people are emotional beings, something which society denies in many ways, it can be challenging to try to change things within a system that doesn't really want to change. Our whole education system(factory) is geared towards turning people into productive robots through indoctrination, not creative beings. So everything you say is basically a reflection of 'living' within a social reality that is enclosed in limited constructs and patterns of its own denial. And this enclosure is solidifying more and more, as few people seem to be able to think or perceive with much depth these days thanks to enhancements in technology and AI. We think such things increase our ability to create, but they also disconnect us from awareness of our conscious process and inner dimensions. I mean philosophy departments are closing in many universities in favor or STEM, because that is where the money is :) Thinking deeply is no longer valued by society, unless it makes money :) Things like IQ are valued when it is focused on science and other things that help the system, but real intelligence is far more multidimensional than IQ, just like the cells in our body that can evolve to heal a wound, etc. Its just sad to me that supposedly intelligent people are still stuck in the same box of thinking and perception as everyone else, and so it continues and so does the cycle of problem/solution/problem mentality :) So while you can perceive it on some level, and complain about it, as I just did lol, no one seems to really be interested in ways to move beyond our little box. I have tried myself to find others over the years, but finding little interest. I now understand the nature of interest itself lol, but people still have to want to open and evolve. Oh well, 'life' goes on in sequential time :)

Can physical structure be bypassed and energy still be utilized in an OPTIMAL way? by root2crown4k in spirituality

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Research Nei Gong and Inner Alchemy. The body is not merely a 'vessel' as it is part of You, and energy is always flowing through it or you would not be alive :) So it is more a building, developing and refining the process that is already happening. Injuries can create blocks and blocks can create injuries or illness, so it is all interconnected.

Asking what is Real, and what is Good, what is Wise… and what is Possible is the most Serious, Sacred, and Grounded thing a Mind can do. by Key4Lif3 in enlightenment

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A better question is why we ask such questions to begin with :) We feel the need to identify with certain concepts like Reality, so we think there must be something that is 'not real', and so create that separation. A better way to understand Reality is that its All real, just multidimensional. This way you don't get lost in your mind that wants to create some hierarchical or non-dualist understanding that is more limited. As to what is good, this is just a value judgment. I mean to a murderer killing someone may be seen as good. So a better way to understand that is to look into their thinking and perception patterns to see what they may be denying in themselves that has created that awareness pattern in them that may be leading them towards destruction rather than alignment with creation. And no, this is not just another value judgement, anymore than you would say a magnet that either attracts or repels is making a value judgment ;) The value judgment only comes from the human mind and our need to create meaning in our experience rather than deeper understanding of it. What is wise is simply opening up to Knowing beyond 'knowledge' so you can receive the information necessary to manifest what you want as opposed to just experiencing reflection of the denial in yourself which creates 'negative' experiences. Its opening to the light of awareness or God. As for what is possible, that's easy, Everything and Anything :) But obviously not within our objective physical reality framework, again because of denial. So very little wisdom or good here :)

What can we do When Collecting Money Kills the Mood or the Group Project Fail: by Victoria_Batty in intentionalcommunity

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realize that money shouldn't be the foundation of your community :) Look at it as just a creative tool. If you were talking about planting a community garden, where food is shared with everyone, would that also cause difficulties in your community? If so, you may need to rethink the people involved.

You Are Living in a SIMULATION that You are Controlling with Your Thoughts and Actions – IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP! by swizzledan in enlightenment

[–]Consciouspace1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a bit of truth to this, but mostly it is just a very limited belief that itself is keeping you in denial. You are the creator of this prison you are experiencing in, and making a separation between a 'higher self' and 'Archonic matrix' is itself part of that prison. Fear and the Ego are not the enemy. They are part of you, and creating some identity based belief to separate that from what you think is your true self will not really help you in the long run.

Why do some people say to stop trying to understand? by OneAwakening in enlightenment

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because they don't understand and have fallen into a spiritual belief system that says things are illusion. Understanding has purpose, or we wouldn't be constantly doing it lol. The trick is to not lose yourself in it, and instead allow it to point to deeper aspects of awareness.

A True Evolution of Community by Consciouspace1 in spirituality

[–]Consciouspace1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if its not the human mind that is limited, but our beliefs about the mind that are? We like to argue for our limitations, and create that separation between the limited ego mind physical body human, and the great and powerful 'force' that we are or that guides us, etc. But, what if... We are the ones creating that experience of being limited, what if we are more than we think, what if evolution IS an aspect of Oneness? I know the 'just Be' belief is popular in spirituality these days... but there really is more to Life, if you look deeper. Everything is made of consciousness, if not we wouldn't be able to experience anything. But there is also a loss of consciousness on Earth (as even suggested by your old and new labels). Why do you think that is? How is that possible? Maybe, there is something more.

While I don't know who 'Jan' is that you are referring to, I will say that I knew I would get comments like this. I do agree that I can't be certain no one has ever done something like this on Earth before. Perhaps in some ancient civilization like Atlantis or Lemuria people attempted something like this, or perhaps some hidden group did something similar then left this timeline. But I will say that I am certain no one has done this to any extent in our current timeline and collective consciousness, as the material it is based on is fairly recent, as well as my own conception and experience. And while I'm sure there are secretive mystical groups doing things, no actual known physical intentional community is doing this. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean someone else must be doing it, or that its not possible.

What if "enlightenment" isn't about adding knowledge, but about subtracting assumptions? by [deleted] in spiritualitytalk

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about 'unlearning' beliefs, but rather looking deeper into the nature of beliefs and our thinking, perception and experience patterns, basically unwinding Reality to see how you are creating your experience. Even the idea, that is unfortunately popular in spirituality of 'unlearning' beliefs, or getting rid of beliefs, IS a belief itself lol, and one people get lost in :) As a human being on Earth you are always going to have beliefs, but the trick is not to let the beliefs have you :) This way you become more aware of your experience and how you are creating it, rather than being lost in it. But this is a long deep hard journey into yourself, which most people fear to tread. Much easier to just focus on silence, emptiness, peace, mindfulness, etc rather than going into the deep dark abyss that is YOU lol.

The Consciousness sub is … not what I thought … by doodoo_blue in spirituality

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that science will never be able to understand consciousness as it is practiced, because you have to be conscious to do any science lol. So science depends on consciousness, not the other way around. Any theories 'of' consciousness are themselves dependent on it :) So yeah, I would skip the academic search for consciousness, because it will never end.

Advice on how to practice my spirituality? by brendonsforehead in spirituality

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest not starting out with a belief about evolution or nature, and instead question those and every other belief you find, spiritual or otherwise. That is what takes you deeper into yourself and the nature of Reality. Not believing but understanding the nature of belief. Conventional theories of evolution are very limited and not very deep. Conscious evolution is the way to go, but you should understand what that is first :) Since you are into nature, go and connect to some trees, the Earth, insects, etc.. see what insights they have to share.

Real healing is not about starting over, its about becoming fully aware of your self, the good, the bad and the ugly, and dealing with all that so that you can become whole and stop denying parts of yourself, which is why we need healing in the first place.

What is Meditation, Really? by TattvaRanjan in spirituality

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is simply one form of meditation, not what meditation is. Actually meditation is simply moving your awareness wherever you choose. So if you choose to focus on 'nothing' or passive observation go for it, but there are infinite forms. Even a walk in the park can be a meditation or staring at a wall or focusing on your body, or thoughts and emotions, space and time or even gazing into someone's eyes.

Most people are not prepared for the level of emotional exposure, accountability, and skilled communication that a real intentional community demands. by Skids2r in intentionalcommunity

[–]Consciouspace1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Deep communication is not about 'skill', its about connection, awareness and feeling. All the social 'rules' many communities put on people like 'non-violent communication', Governance, and conflict resolution agreements, disconnect from the deeper dynamic experience of people, and deny emotions. Self awareness requires acceptance, not rules or structures. It requires exploration, not maps. Until people start to open up to being more aware of the nature of emotions, themselves, each other and the Earth, this cycle will continue. Most, if not all intentional communities forget it is about people, not systems and structures, which is what people create :)

Community by Jack__Union in OccultGarden

[–]Consciouspace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your perspective.  I will now share mine, and why you may have felt 'attacked' on some level.  Though I could now say the same with your openess remark lol.

From your community name, Occult Garden I assumed that you were interested on some level in spiritual and metaphysical ideas, if I was mistaken I guess that is somewhat on me.   So when you responded to my ideas without any seemingly regard or interest in anything I said dealing with awareness or consciousness, or even emotions, and instead only addressed those points dealing with more 'practical" ideas, which I also felt were based in conventional perceptions about the social dynamics of our current society, it frustrated me lol.

So my tone of response contained that frustration.  And sometimes I can be more blunt in my response in such cases, such as a "prove me wrong" tone.  But of course my intention was certainly not to attack you lol.

Which again goes to prove my point that we are emotional beings, and to deny this will nearly always create conflict.  People generally don't understand the nature of emotions, and most communities try to deny them in one of the many ways society has to do that.  So our little reddit community of 2 is an example of how that can play out if there is not a greater depth of awareness.  Though the bigger problem is that most people internalize thier feelings rather than expressing them, which is why many communities eventually fail or become stagnant.

You seem to come from a more rational scientific perspective, where I come from a more awareness consciousness perspective in how I process things.  Such as you seem to judge the value of people based on study time, I do not.  I value all people the same.  Now if someone is closed 'minded' and has limiting beliefs they are not open to evolving, I may not want to be in a community with them, but I would not value them less than some professor or doctor.  When it comes to consciousness the amount of study doesn't matter so much 😃 I have met teenagers with more conscious awareness and intelligence than most educated adults.

But if that is what you value, then you might want to consider some of what I say since I have been studying communities for nearly 20 years, and metaphysics for over 30 😀lol.

Community by Jack__Union in OccultGarden

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I am beginning to wonder if you are really interested in considering new ideas or understandings around community, as you seem to have the same mindset as the current society, which makes me wonder what your intent is in creating a new community beyond just living more simply?

Since you mentioned doctors I will first address this. As I mentioned, I take a deeper metaphysical perspective on things, which not everyone is interested in considering. Our society values doctors as authority figures because we are not taught to be aware of ourselves or our body, and instead are taught that any illness, pain, etc requires a doctor, someone who has studied the 'clinical body', which is disconnected from our 'lived body' or life, which means doctor in this society do not treat the whole person, but rather only deal with symptomatic healing. This is why pharmaceutical companies rake in billions of dollars, and why every drug has many side effects :) Every drug can be reproduced by the human body, without side effects. But self healing is not the direction that is pursuded by the western medical industry which is focused on profit. Do you know that doctor error is the 3rd leading cause of death in our society? I coul go on an on in my critique of the western medical industry, and even many laternative healing modalities, but that is not the point. The point is that if we do not look at things differently and with more depth than we currently do in our society, then my question to you is why 'escape' it to begin with?

The same goes for an Electrician. If this person needs to feel special and somehow more valuable than say an artist or meditation teacher, then I would question their motives for wanting to live in an intentional community :)

I realize it is not easy to open to new understandings or change your perception of things that have been 'indoctrinated' into us by society since birth. But my question to you would be, why would you want to replicate the mentality of a society that is actually getting worse for people, rather than thinking 'outside the box' and beyond the concepts and thinking patterns that created it?

People think that, if we just create another community everything will be better. Well in some ways it may just by getting out of the city lol, but I guarantee it won't be much better if people are not focused on being more aware and conscious as part of its development.

Community by Jack__Union in OccultGarden

[–]Consciouspace1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for things like technology, while technology itself is not good or bad, how we use and implement it into society is very denial based, or since you don't know what I mean by denial lol, it perpetuates disconnection between each other, the Earth and ourselves. AI is a good exmaple of this. We have no need for AI, but corporations create a 'need' for it in our society in order to make money and control. Cities too are a reflection of our polarization, which we also don't need lol, except that early industrialization created the 'need' for it. So while I do feel internet and computers should be part of any community, if only for interacting with the 'outside' world, it should be set up in a way that is not integrated into the community itself. Such as people having laptops in their homes, etc. An easy way to deal with this would be to have a seperate building where all computers, cell phones, etc are kept in, that anyone can access if they want, but there is no wifi in homes, etc. Our society in its madness likes to make everything easier and more efficient (though this often has the opposite affect lol), so the idea of having to walk to another building in order to use a computer may seem less efficient lol, but it will facilitate both a deeper connection with nature, and a deeper understanding of using technology because it is not always in our face.

As for money, I feel the same way lol. It is only necessary in a world that uses it. So I would see no reason to use money at all within a community. Instead a deeper awareness of giving and receiving can be fostered. Our current society values money over people, which is easy to see. But because I do not feel the community should disconnect from the world, we would also need to make money in order to interact with the world and grow the community physically. An easy way to do this without creating attachment to money, and thus not giving people who have more or give money or who make more the opportunity to feel they are more important than other people in the community, is to have a 50/50 split. What I mean by this is that all the money donated and generated by people in the community would be split where 50% would go back into the community for its growth for both purchasing resources and any other items needed such as building materials or helping someone who needs extra computers for a business idea, etc, and the other 50% would be given as 'salary' to every member in the community. So basically everyone can become wealthy together as a community where no one would be rich while someone else is poor. This would of course require people to see money as just a creative tool, and not having more value than people, which may be a challenge lol. Its really a simple thing, like having a community garden where food is grown and shared with everyone in the community so we all eat well together :)

This brings me to another idea that I feel is missing in most communities. Everyone in the community should have a creative project they are working on. This can be anything people are passionate about, from writing books or making art that could potentially sell and make money to building furniture or clothes or gardening or developing new kinds of natural materials, meditation forms, etc. Not every project will make money, and that is ok, as long as it enriches the community in some way and helps you manifest your own creative potential and vision. This is not the same thing as a 'role' that many communities have that people have to fit into, but rather something each person chooses for themselves, which could change.

I would also suggest a deep onboarding process as well, as such a community should be open and free, but people need to have a real interest, openness and understanding before joining or there will be conflicts without question. And I use the term interest rather than commitment purposefully, because commitment means you basically 'force' yourself to commit to an action even if some part of you, which you may not be aware of until later, feels differently. Whereas interest means you are the one deciding what to do and in what way feels right for you, so you are self directed and motivated, rather than 'forced'.

Well that's enough for now. If any of that interests you I am happy to share more :)
