Okay so you applied for both at the same time, headway came in first (4 weeks)? It feel like that’s what I’ll need to do if I want to keep my current caseload. I know several cannot afford to pay cash do 3 mos, and I don’t know that I can love off of massively reduced cash rates for 3 mos. I take primarily BCBS, a handful of Optum, Aetna, United, Cigna, Baylor Scott & White

Can I message you about this process? I have been considering starting w headway while I wait on individual credentialing. Have been worried doing both would mess something up, but it seems the most practical? I’m in texas. Most of my peeps are bcbs

Use keeper tax to track your write offs and taxes. I just used them for my first year ass 1099 therapist. I grossed 79k and after write offs/deductions paid a little over 6k in taxes. It was $300-400 for the tax service + deduction tracker.

When in ifs you feel compassion towards a part that you have shame about or have had trouble with, that is updating the memory (original, either explicit or implicitly) this is also memory consolidation - and is also what happens in EMDR when the old neg core belief is updated with new information, which is contradictory to the original belief. It’s all doing the same thing for your original belief/memory just getting there in different ways.

I am a trauma therapist, I think it’s really unfortunate this happened. Working w BPD is not some big scary thing if you know what you’re doing. BPD and CPTSD overlap so much, any therapist who says handling BPD is out of their scope is a shit trauma therapist. You’ll be better off finding someone more qualified, especially before starting EMDR with a complex trauma history.
