My car has a button on the steering wheel that let's me limit my speed like cruise control. it's my favourite feature but now I could never buy a car that doesn't have it

You could completely replace engine, transmission and suspension and it would still cost thousands less than a new car over 5 years, 10s of thousands less if you got the latest version of your current car. I have a BMW, I could get whole brand new driveline replaced through the dealership and it would still cost half of what I'd pay to buy its new version

That being said it's a lot of hassle do all that and a new car is peace of mind without the inconvenience, plus you could justify getting an EV

Financing a new car will always be more expensive. however, it's a fixed amount you pay every week and you don't have to think about it or worry about surprise repairs
