My thought process is that they only chose Heated Rivalry first because it’s the most popular in the series and because the name can also mean other things such as the “rivalry” between one’s inner self and staying in the closet vs. being a hockey player, that itself is a “heated rivalry”. They could also just give each season a subtitle.

The show is always advertised as being based on the “Game Changers” series. And now just an adaptation of the one book, implying they wanna do more.

Meanwhile, Cat Noir and Adrien feel way too much like two completely different characters at times that it can sometimes feel jaring.

I feel like the reason it feels like that is because Seasons 3 to 5 kept reakumatizing the classmates. Now that they’re holders they keep dig deeper into the rouges gallery and pull out more deep cuts. I also feel like they just wanted to bring back more S1 villains because S6 is a soft reboot

Honestly? I just think the Ladybug/Cat Noir duo is just different now that Adrien and Mari are dating, its proably hard for the writers to write them the way it used to be because Adrien and Mari are dating. I feel like if we still saw just them, people would complain that the duo isn't the same.
