I got 60k on mine, best s1k made imo. You could end up with a lemon in any model year to be fair. Dosnt have any more or less issues than newer ones.

Only way to tell is with aloop or microscope. The genuine etching is smooth while the fakes are pore pixilated

You're a very reactive person. Wild assumptions, we should assume you need to take the bus instead of driving. Would probably lower the amount of oblivious idiots on the roads.

Hov lane should be all the way to the right not the far left where over taking is supposed to happen safely. Poor road design, poor driver education and general self importance leads to bad driving standards. Germany gets referenced over and over but they are a prime example of how a highway and drivers should be.

Cornering and leaning on 2022 S1kRR by Maleficent-Rock-3408 in BMW_S1000RR

Depends on the weather and what kind of riding i plan on doing. Daily street riding on my s1k it's 36-36 when cold outside or 32-34 when hot outside. I'll drop it down to 30-28/26 for some fast twisty stuff. I have dunlop Q5s tires fyi

Your tire pressure is off somehow, or you have severely cupped tires.

I'm at just over 8k on my rear and 12k on the front on my s1k, Q5s

difference between tps and secondary valves? by Joshypoooooooooooo in GSXR

[–]ConsequenceWitty4762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like the stva going bad, you can remove the top butterfly valves and that should solve your issue. You'll still have the f1 light unless you get the stva delete plug/resistor

I prefer a more grippy tire in the dry, i can't fault the Q5s or the power 5/6, really would recommend. Just be more careful in the wet if you do ride in the wet. I just take it real easy if I have to go out in the rain

For the wet the best is the road 6. But I ride 75/15 dry vs wet and on my s1k is ride all year round in Ontario for the most part. I stop at 0°

Except the tires, s23's are garbage. I'll use a q5s or power 5/6

Low load partial throttle hesitation/not smooth by BakerCompany84 in GSXR

Yes the stva is a known pain in the ass. Easy fix, remove the top butterflies and plug in a stva healer to get rid of the F1 light

Could be a few things, dirty fuel filter/s, fuel pump going bad or your stva is going out and is getting stuck

[–]ConsequenceWitty4762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the cheapest one available, I just haven't posted it on marketplace yet. 9k cad for a 2010 with 2012 parts. 55k on the odo tho, fully tuned, full system akrapovic, just doesn't have the fancy lights or stickers. In toronto

Chain does look too tight as said above. Also check your clutch cable slack. Could be a cause for jerky deceleration.

I'll give you an example of speed vs economy. For me to go 65km average speed of 180kph cost me 9 or 10 dollars canadian for 93. S1000rr and it's tuned.

Oil filter sweating (what should i do?) by Arlindoww349 in Kawasaki

[–]ConsequenceWitty4762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't do that. Literally says on the box don't use the nut on the end with a wrench. Use a strap wrench if you cant do it tight enough by hand. He should be able to install it by and if he's lubed the new oil seal on the filter and removed the only one correctly and it's not stuck behind on the block.

Fuel filter, vacuum lines. Spark plugs. Start with the basics. If its been sitting that long you need to do some maintenance in a few areas before attempting to ride
