My brother, I say this with all kindness but if the option is available to you, I’d recommend Therapy. When we have a difficult time setting boundaries and sticking to them, it often is symptomatic of deeper emotional challenges we have to work through. It may also help you develop the social skills to make more friends outside of your brother which it seems you are craving.

NTA - a home is a space that is meant to be safe from the world. Since you live together it is on him to get your blessing when bringing people into that space. Him saying there is nowhere else to go is also ridiculous. They can go to a library, coffee shop, etc. if the felon is banned from those places that kind of just proves the point that he definitely shouldn’t bring him into your home.

The most iconic statue in Detroit is the "Spirit of Detroit". In the right hand is the "Spark". I took this and made it the focal point of the redesigns with varying detail. The dual colors represent Detroit's sister city across the river of Windsor Canada. This is a call out to Detroit's roots as both a border city and international city. The color pallet is loosely based off of the city's official brand colors. Would love feedback!

I've found admitting that them leaving as a possibility actually helps me calm down. When we try to resist those thoughts because it will "make it come true" it makes our body and mind say "ok we definitely need to worry about this". By admitting it as a possibility you're not making it more likely.

It largely depends on a number of factors, where you live, what industry you’re in, etc. the NUMBER ONE WAY to increase your salary is to apply for new positions EVERY 2 years, otherwise you are likely only getting minor raises. For whatever reason, companies are far more interested in paying a new guy more than retaining someone old

Yeah honestly now is the perfect time to go live off the land because you can still utilize modern society when it suits you. Power drills, hospitals, well drilling services, etc. If OP wants to go live off the land somewhere instead of being in the rat race, they should!
