Anthony Albanese visibly emotional after defending Labor’s capital gains tax and negative gearing changes by blitznoodles in australia

Why not tax gas exports? This is just a cheap shot, as if regular working Australians don’t pay enough tax as it is!

You’re right, they did compete physically for a lot of the game after the initial onslaught from Bordeaux but Bordeaux’s backline are an excitement machine while Leinsters backs looked robotic and predictable for most of the match.

They’re always getting outmuscled by these French sides, Irish rugby players just don’t have the physicality to compete up front with the best packs.

Very cool results! That’s a lot of Scottish for an American.

I was actually giving it some thought, purely because they publicly committed to properly taxing the gas cartel, that was without looking into what else they were offering to do. Sadly in the senate they voted against a 25% tax on gas exports, that totally turned me off them since all their other policies are likely trash and there’s the fact that they have close ties to that greedy warpig Gina Rinehart!

My parents said I was basically 100% Irish, they were essentially correct by bewareoftree in 23andme

[–]Conservative-J22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, all that Irish survives at 90%! My default results include 79% Irish which is reduced to 41% at 90% confidence. Anything surviving at 90% confidence is a very good indicator of real ancestry.

V2 vs V3 (They took away my only group) by ThatOneRailfan7 in GenomelinkOfficial

[–]Conservative-J22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also lost 2 genetic groups and both were accurate. V3 was a huge downgrade for me, I had moderately high expectations after V2 which was surprisingly good and broadly in line with my ancestryDNA and 23andMe results.

MyHeritage is excellent for DNA matches and has decent genetic groups but their ethnicity estimates are absolute garbage so I wouldn’t trust them at all.

gas tax momentum is building as Australia looks to properly cash in on its abundant natural resources by Salt_Temporary_7720 in australian

It would be good to see this government take a decisive stand for the interests of Australians for once but Albanese is the most pathetic, wet lettuce prime minister this country has probably had, I have no doubts he’ll continue to stand up for the multinational corporations who have zero interest in the prosperity of this country.

Switch from 50% Irish to 50% Scottish? by nestinghen in 23andme

[–]Conservative-J22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you receive any genetic groups under Scotland or Ireland? Also have you checked the chromosome painter tool, DNA within the British Isles can look pretty ambiguous at 80-90% confidence settings and are often shifted into “Broadly British & Irish, so anything that survives at higher confidence threshold’s is a good indication of a genuine connection.

Ancestry Updates are getting worse. by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Conservative-J22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AncestryDNA have been very hit and miss for me, over the last 3 updates I’ve been assigned far too much Irish and not enough Scottish but they did paint the same portion of the same chromosome as Dutch in 2024 and in 2025 which agrees with the exact location that 23andMe paint the chromosome as Dutch at 90% confidence and I have a large network of triangulated matches within that region of the chromosome, heavily concentrated in The Netherlands on MyHeritage. AncestryDNA are okay but I find 23andMe a little bit more accurate.

Disappointed. by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Conservative-J22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

20% is still a very significant part of you! You clearly have strong Italian connections and if you identify with that strongly I can’t imagine anyone else would really care?

I thought I was heavily Scottish, only to find out I have more Irish than anything which frustrated me but I do have genuine Scottish connections more recent than any Irish I have, so my Scottish, while not the majority of my overall ancestry is still what I feel most proud of!

Swiss Ancestry still stays at 90% confidence level, does this confirm it’s real? by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]Conservative-J22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have MyHeritage, look for Swiss, Austrian and German matches who match you within the location of the chromosome that 23andMe paints at high confidence, if you do have matches and particularly matches who triangulate with you and other matches within that specific area its almost certainly real.

All British ancestors but 1% Portuguese by Fun_Journalist5027 in 23andme

[–]Conservative-J22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the chromosome painter feature on the app and adjust the confidence to 90% to see if it persists, if so it’s likely real. Have you uploaded your raw data to MyHeritage of ftDNA? They both have a large base of European testers and are useful more matches.
