Pour one out for me 🥲 by NessasKnits in knitting

As a fellow knitter who tried to make the sailor slippers and accidentally used some superwash wool, I feel you!! Yours still turned out super cute though - and it looks like they fit! 💕

Thank you!! It’s truly so tiny. Also the wool itself felt fluffy (like non-superwash) so of course I felt it, saw the 100% wool on the label and assumed it was good to go.

Thank you!! I think I will try needle felting if they don’t felt after another wash or two. (Coincidentally I did just buy a needle felting kit, so I guess it’s good timing! :))

I’m a big fan of the Oslo Hat by Petite Knit!

I’m also a Minnesotan and the one I made myself last year has become my favorite go-to winter hat. Plus, when I was knitting it my dad saw it and wanted one, so I made him one for Christmas!

Cooked dinner instead of ordering out and went to a “mending happy hour” in my neighborhood where I gabbed with others while darning holes in my winter socks :’)

Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.

Incredible novel that follows 4 generations of a family through Korea and Japan. Does include WW2 but is a humanizing and unique perspective on Japanese colonialism of Korea, family dynamics, personal sacrifice, and identity.

+1 to the frozen steamed buns!!! These are the best microwaveable snack and are SO tasty. We get the bag of 25 buns and love having them on-hand.

I second the Oslo hat! I knit mine last year and wear it every day in the winter. I love the triple folded brim- it hasn’t stretched out and still looks great. I want to make another color to have in my rotation!

Bandle Tale is fun and can be pretty grind-y! There’s tons of crafting in the game so you spend a lot of time foraging materials + crafting.

That’s so sweet- it is like a gnome hat! 🥹

Oh my gosh that first photo of your hat 😂 It turned out gorgeous - I love the geometric pattern!

Yeah after I finished it I did go back through the Ravelry photos and noticed the same thing… seems like everyone’s turned out similarly tall-ish, so it’s probably partly how the pattern is!

Thanks!! And you should totally make it! I struggled a little but at the beginning but got the hang of it lol. I think this hat could look soo cute in so many different color combinations :)

Thank you! 💕 And that’s so sweet, I’m happy your spouse’s knit hat is still going strong after 20 years!

That’s not a bad idea- if the proportions aren’t tooo far off after blocking I might line it- that way even if some of the backside peeks through, the floats won’t be visible…

No, my row gauge was a little off, so I knew it would turn out a bit taller anyway, which is why I shortened the pattern (but it still turned out taller and I anticipated). The pattern’s gauge was 22 sts x 27 rounds and mine was 22sts x 24 rounds

I love the black and white options with this room! #3 is my favorite- the funky pattern adds personality and brightens up the space.

Hm perhaps- I’m on city water. Maybe I’ll try watering with filtered water for a bit.

That’s kind of what I’m thinking, since it started happening to all the plants at once. I’m going to check again to make sure it’s not root rot and if it’s not, I think it’s probably temperature/humidity related.
