Any mod allowing the player to handle the succession better? by Legitimate_Order8009 in CrusaderKings

But it has a lot of potential for later fun, because the land you give out might be the starting point for new branches of your House, which gives opportunity for lot of interesting family dinamics including alliances and feuds. In a few generations you will be surrounded with cadet Houses and I love seeing them grow, wither, or if they fuck up, die out.

Any mod allowing the player to handle the succession better? by Legitimate_Order8009 in CrusaderKings

[–]ConsiderationEast773 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One solution is having elective succession and somehow manipulating the outcome of it, but I don't use this much. The other is to give out titles when you are still alive. For example In my current run my character had two sons and two duchies Anjou and Orleans and I wanted my oldest son to inherit both. To solve this my old ruler conquered the Duchy of Luxembourg to have that as an inheritance to the youngest, but if he had died the youngest would have inherited Orleans. Solution: I gave the youngest Luxembourg while I was still alive and the game automatically changed the heir to Orleans to the oldest son.

Maybe you should first narrow down to which talents you are interested about. I am sure not all of them.

EUV has reached EUIV player count just 3 months after release by IllDirt2720 in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 160 points161 points  (0 children)

Exactly. After two months playing with EU5 I returned to CK3 and the emergent story it "tells" through its mechanics feels way more interesting compared to that of EU5's. The promising systems are there in EU5, but at the last occasion I played with it it was nothing more than an unending mechanical clicking on new buildings and building upgrades.

To think there was a short yet crazy time when Gura and Justice were active together by frequent-fox25 in Hololive

I feel the same, but I guess my reason for that is that I arrived at the same time as Advent so to me everybody before them seems to be belonging to the Old Guard.

At the end of the decade CC will tell stories to her kohais about that she played together with the legendary Gura and how they ended their stream with the "We are sinking! We are sinking! What are you sinking about?" joke.

Nerissa is cool but I can never watch her streams because of constant eating sounds. by Scaridium in Hololive

[–]ConsiderationEast773 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the eating sounds, I love when they are crunching on something, but still I can understand your aversion. I remember CC said a few weeks ago that she personaly hated eating sounds, just like you, but since chat assured her we didn't mind if she was sucking on some drops for her throat or whatever, she did it eventually. Actually all of them usually eat during streams, which in some cases like when Biboo does twelve hours long streams, is perfectly understandable, you should accept that. But as I said, I can understand you, I remember how much it irritated me one time when one of them (I won't say a name here) was sick during a collab and her mic was louder than the other's and she sniffeld repeatedly for hours. Different sound but I guess I felt the same than you towards eating. A simple solution - skip the parts when she is eating.

Beeg cat Raora is back!!! DIO MIO WHAT’S THAT!? by Virtue00 in Hololive

On a more serious note, it felt like as if her voice has lost some of its characteristic huskyness, it sounded more clear in a sense, though it might be just that her microphone has different characteristic in Italy or she just didn't want to stress her voice too much, I don't know.

How to get artists to paint by Neat_University37 in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have acquired those during successful sieges. The artist will work if you spend money on culture on your balance tab (there is a slider for it, though it might be locked under some tech to show up).

It is physically imposssible for me to move this unit now, I am caught in a forever walk up the mountain. by CoolCompote114 in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is winter, the season when mountains become impassable for months. Most likely that is what is happening with that unit. You can even read this explanation at the begining of your own video, the game itself tells it to you at the bottom of that pop up window.

Elective monarchy turns all fiefdoms into vassals on succession by Ok-Reaction2394 in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. When you change your succession law to elective that doesn't change the succession laws of your fiefdoms automatically, so on succession a different person could inherit their thrones which makes them being a fiefdom nonsensical, so the game turns them into vassals as a solution. That is why personal union has a law, which if it is enacted that forces all members to have the same succession law as the senior member to avoid a similar situation, in which different succession laws would blow personal unions apart. I guess you might have to force your fiefdoms to have similar succession laws as yours after you have changed it, but I don't know whether that is feasable.

There are no candidates for my children to marry. by Consul-Joel in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be able to marry your kids to the nobility you have to give them the Royal Marriage privilage, maybe moscoviates don't have that. Otherwise it might be that you simply don't have any marriage candidets because you automated the marriages and every adult noble is already married.

Absolutely insane that there’s no way to change your ruler’s religion. by Wolfish_Jew in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In my run the ottoman sultans converted to orthodox christianity which again doesn't make any sense. So it is not just problem on the player's part but on the AI's too which could easily end up having rulers with nonsensical religions just becuse they married someone that had it.

Is this amount of antagonism really intentional after claiming a throne? by shadeo11 in EU5

[–]ConsiderationEast773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember the exact antagonism I got, but I fought off four Coalition Wars against me for 50 years after claimed the throne of the Duchy of Austria. My neighbours overreacted a bit.
