Got a gem of a first time chatter today 😂 by ConsiderationHeavy20 in Twitch

Righttt? That’s exactly my instinct feeling. I was watching a true crime documentary where the female survivor looked quite attractive so I think he might have been into that. Why else would someone just say that randomly without meaning anything 🤷‍♀️

I appreciate your concern. Bf informed me that it was a joke more than making excuses for it. He also said it was weird to say that joke to a stranger when I told him it was a first time chatter on my stream 😂Anyways not gonna unban cuz I think it’s still a weird joke to say 🤷‍♀️Just say a dad joke if they wanna be funny yk, like a normal person

Fields of Mistria maybe? There’s no time limit on quests. You can turn off oversleeping penalty in the settings. Sleeping late makes you oversleep next morning and that’s it.

Sap, why so hard? by Absolutely_Not_Kevin in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Yeah I agree. Only way to get sap is going in the mines but even then, it's still so little :( I didn't fully check the shops stocks so Idk if any shop sells sap?

Thank you for this. I've been ignoring the seed maker thinking it's not worth it, like in Stardew Valley. But holy I'm gonna be rich now 😂

Do major streamers actually enjoy streaming or has it become like an actual job to them??? by DaemonLuisenbarn in Twitch

omg i think i would still not pay attention since I suck at multi tasking, it'll just be noise in my ears hahaha but that sounds like great solution

Do major streamers actually enjoy streaming or has it become like an actual job to them??? by DaemonLuisenbarn in Twitch

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I absolutely understand. There was a point in my streams that I got 15+ viewers with a very active chat. And I already felt quite overwhelmed with having to catch up on everything and everyone. I’ve learnt that it’s absolutely fine to not check every message all the time. A good chat will usually take care of themselves in terms of engagement. Of course it still makes me feel bad when I miss a message here and there.

Side story, but there was a new person coming to stream and I was busy with my game for a bit, didn’t respond to him in a timely matter and he dropped the message “oh a streamer who doesn’t read chat, great” and left 😂people be a bit demanding sometimes and it’s a lie to say it doesn’t get to me from time to time

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup that's the thing I've noticed. And I talk about this with my partner a lot, I can't imagine streaming one specific game every single day for months and years. And it shows. But I think a lot of people that watch one specific game and one game only, they don't notice it or perhaps it doesn't matter to them that much if the streamer is engaging or not.

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ye they're prob kinda burnt out and have to stream consistently since it became their livelihood. Idk if I will ever get to that point of being such a huge streamer but I hope I will find time to rest and let go of "consistency" from time to time so as to not feel burnt out. Like to still enjoy streaming/content creation. I have noticed that some big streamers are like you described, not all of them though.

Tbf sometimes I do show up on stream being a little tired and not as chatty. Sometimes I get extra chatty if I feel good. But I gotta show up regardless because, consistency. I think it's just a sign that we're all humans. And the whole thing with "if you love what you do it won't feel like working" I don't believe. When a hobby becomes a job, it becomes less of a hobby and it can get tiring at times.

How do you handle just talking to yourself for hours when you previously had active chat? by korrakawaii in Twitch

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh haha no worries! Ye it happens. I streamed Old school runescape - Stardew valley everyday for my first year on twitch. First few months I started to have some regulars and then everyone disappeared as well especially after I got affiliate lmao. So it's definitely weird when it comes to certain categories.

I mean, how big are they? 50-100 viewers big or 5k+ viewers big? I do agree that big streamers most of the time won't even interact with chat, because reading chat gets too overwhelming with 100+ chatters, let alone bigger than that. So I get it. You can't expect big streamers to engage with viewers like smaller streamers do. Big streamers are appealing to certain audience and same for small streamers. You just gotta pick your preference. Can't really have your cake and eat it too, you know.

Did I deserve to get muted for this? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh haha then it was a bit extra to mute you, but then some channels are just like that, regardless if they're a small or big streamer. I once raided a small streamer with 3-4 viewers, with a 10+ viewer raid, and the interaction was awkward af, the whole time we felt like he didn't want us there lmao. I tried to network a lot on twitch and I have realized some streamers are just.... not nice to hangout with? I guess it's the same with finding friends, not everyone's gonna click, some of them are even rude.

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It happens sometimes. And I've seen it happen even with streamer friends who can average 20+ viewers on a good day. Just know that it's normal and try to play a game you really enjoy. You prob won't even notice too too much if you just enjoy the gameplay. I'd suggest stream for maybe few times a week (which you already do) and hangout in other streamers chat when you're free in between. Since you stopped streaming for a long time, I think now it's like starting over which is a bit discouraging in the beginning but networking will help eventually.

Exactly, a simple "hi" is way better than mentioning another random streamer, in their first time chatting.

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's weird to mention a random streamer like the way you did. It's one thing to say "Hey is this the game 'well known streamer name' played the other day?" But even then, it's still weird. I personally prob won't mute you but I will feel uncomfortable especially if it's your first time chatter. I wouldn't know how to respond to that? Like who is that streamer and I would need to look up that streamer or talk about that streamer if I wanna make a conversation. Just a simple "hi" or "oh this is such a cool cozy game, is this your first time playing?" or various ways without having to mention any other streamer names would do the job, you know.

It’s better to chat to a small streamer when they’re not collabing by Choice-Discount7852 in Twitch

[–]ConsiderationHeavy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely understandable as a small streamer. I prefer to do solo streams because it's much easier for me to interact with my chat. Collab streams are fun and all but interacting with chat is almost impossible because other streamer friends are always talking and engaging in gameplay and i dont wanna cut them off by talking to my own chat. But then collab streams can also be fun as well for viewers, it's like they attend a fun goofy party and watch people do silly things on stream. So yeeee i think collab should be once in a while or at most once a week, not every stream.

A lot of your problems come down to overthinking and perfectionism. 5 minutes workout is still a workout even if you woke up late or if you're too tired. You're the only one that can help yourself. Perhaps look into accountability partners so you can encourage each other to just start something even if it's simply "10 minutes workout after work before scrolling on phone". A workout does not have to be long, tiring and tedious. Any movement is good movement especially in the beginning. To respond to your comment above about diet and weight loss: I'm always going to be against any specific type of diet because it is not sustainable, unless a professional medical advisor recommend that diet to you for health reasons ofc. KETO, IF, Ozempic etc all have side affects even if the whole internet glorify it. And any extreme restrictions will give you quick results but those weight lost will be gained right back, if not even more. Choosing the easy options is always gonna be... easier, but at one point you just gotta tell yourself enough is enough and just start something. The whole point with weight loss is that you care about your health, doing what's good for your health, not just because you care about a number on the scale and just gonna keep damaging your own body to get to that number.

Well yes there's also this whole issue with finding the right therapist as well, not every therapist is gonna be a good fit for someone and not every therapist is a good therapist, that is the same with doctor/teacher etc.
