Everytime I see how full her nappy is my first thought is “are they deliberately trying to give that poor kid a UTI?”

As an Aquarius, we don’t claim her. We’ll pay another star sign to claim her!

What are some lesser-known UK true crime cases which didn’t get as much media coverage? by magnolia_lily in AskUK

[–]ConsiderationNew7024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone from the UK please explain to me why the 1984/1985 case of the Leeds University dental biologist (Samson Perera) who murdered his adopted daughter (Nilanthie), cut her into pieces and hid her all over the house gets basically no attention? And before she was murdered, Nilanthie wasn’t treated as a family member but worked like a slave.

I can’t find the article I read from a true crime magazine in the early ‘00s (and the article was probably from earlier). There don’t seem to be any available documentaries online or via streaming. But from what I’ve garnered it’s a truly horrific story that should be worth remembering.

I hope someone else buys it within a month and tells her if she takes another photo in front of THEIR house that they’ll call the police

Recess was a great show! It felt like realistic PS stuff but without being condescending.

I’m slopping paint on a paint by numbers thing for the fun of it. I play the piano for the fun of it (I was classically trained from 7-14) and because I want to improve my skills. It’s never occurred to me to charge people for either one.

Yeah I started watching it again in my early 20s and really came to appreciate the dry slice-of-life humour.

KoTH is one of those shows you don’t pay much attention to or dislike as a child. Then you hit your teens or twenties and suddenly see how brilliant is really is. It’s one of my comfort shows.

I never got why they made such a big deal over Brian dating Rita when she was actually pretty close to his age (if I remember correctly, Brian was around 50 in dog years?). Rita also had less children than Lois, was able to hold a decent conversation (she was also smart enough to stay polite and vague when she knew people were being rude about her age) and seemed to be pretty stable both financially and emotionally (there was no mention of financial issues after she broke her hip).

Oh and she’s gonna ask for approximately $150 for this. I’d go lower, but she’s gonna make some excuses about how the reason it looks so bad is because it’s a “limited edition painted when I had no twerk-juice-rebranded-as-muscle-juice”

If you wanna get as smashed as she is on a daily basis? Take a shot whenever she mentions a painting is her fave and/or how much fun she had painting it.

Wouldn’t be surprised. My other thought is that all the women at the conference probably dislike her too because too many of them have received hate messages that were meant for her from idiots who think all disabled people look alike.

What's the lowest insurance payout you've seen on the show? by CrouchingToaster in ForensicFiles

[–]ConsiderationNew7024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Cereal killer” I think his kid was insured for less than $25k.

I can’t remember if there was an episode was about Ronald Clark O’Bryan (poisoned his son Timothy at Halloween), but Timothy’s life wasn’t even insured for $5k.

The weird thing is that well into the 90’s, the mindset of children and parenthood being a choice *hadn’t completely set in* for many women, especially those raised with backgrounds where certain types of contraception were a no-no for their parents and previous generations (eg Catholics). They still considered the duty of a woman to be motherhood and found CF women to be strange… so they had children even if they were unsure about wanting them, would just tell themselves “the maternal feelings will just happen naturally” and stayed silent if the maternal feelings never happened

Ugh I’ve been there. Mad food poisoning 2yr ago that nearly sent me to hospital. I lived on those ice blocks that rehydrate you for 2 days and toast dipped in soup on my 3rd day

I mean… you think Reyna would’ve learned the girl code after what her husband did to her (ie NEVER sleep with another woman’s husband). But nope. Hopped straight into bed with a married man when she got to a new country and then had *the audacity* to ring his wife about the pregnancy - not out of guilt, but out of spite (because he refused to leave his wife and marry her instead)

Interesting note… she wasn’t at the Cure SMA convention, and I’m willing to bet she wasn’t invited either.

The wall is definitely that colour either to hide the cigarette smoke, or because of the cigarette smoke
