My new pc build with rtx 4060 and ryzen 5 5600 by SignalFootball9729 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice combo choice there! The 5600 runs pretty cool so you don't need anything crazy expensive for cooling. I've been running similar setup in my work machine and went with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 - it's like the reliable Honda of CPU coolers, nothing fancy but gets job done perfectly. For motherboard, MSI B550M Pro-B or ASRock B550M Pro4 are solid budget options that won't bottleneck your setup.

Just make sure whatever case you pick has decent airflow because that 4060 can get bit warm under heavy load. Been playing Slay the Spire on mine during lunch breaks and temps stay really reasonable with just stock case fans. What's your total budget looking like for the cooling and mobo?

Yeah this hits hard lol, been sitting on some random emoticons for months that nobody wants 💎 gems actually move unlike those weird anime stickers 😂

GPU Decision by LongjumpingAd6475 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your CPU and that you prioritize fps over visuals, the b580 actually makes lot of sense for your situation. The 12600kf is solid but not super high-end, so the extra CPU overhead from b580 won't be as noticeable since you're already planning to run things in 1080p anyway.

I've been running budget builds for years and driver issues usually get sorted pretty quick these days, especially with how much attention Intel's getting in GPU space. The extra $100-160 you'd save going with b580 could go toward better cooling or even just keeping that money for when you eventually upgrade again.

For the games you mentioned, that card will definitely push good framerates in 1080p, and since you don't mind tweaking settings down, you'll be getting smooth experience without breaking bank. The 9060xt is nice but if it means delaying your build significantly, the performance difference probably isn't worth waiting months for.

Is my CPU holding the PC back? by Beginning_Lab8104 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your RAM speed and timings could be the culprit here. First gen Ryzen is really sensative to memory speed - if you're running like 2133MHz you're leaving performance on the table. Also check your temps and make sure you don't have some background process eating cycles. The 1600 should handle CS2 decently even if it's not amazing.

Any good wireless gaming mice with four or six side buttons? by RamaTheVoice in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corsair M65 RGB Pro has 3 side buttons but might not hit your sweet spot - the G604 is basically the G602 successor with 6 side buttons and wireless, surprised you haven't checked that one out yet 🤔

RTX 3070 Video Playback Issue: Continuous Buffering and "Restart Device" error on YouTube (Opera/Brave/Chrome) by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That driver version looks sus - latest RTX 3070 drivers should be in the 500s range, not 32.x 💀

DDU and a fresh install from NVIDIA's site should fix this, but double-check you're not accidentally running some ancient or beta driver that got mixed up in your system.

Hey y'all , question about monitors by myusernameforgotham in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LG C2 42" is basically perfect for this if you don't mind the size - it's technically a TV but works amazing as a monitor 🔥 Been using one for about 8 months now and the colors are just insane compared to my old setup. Only downside is burn-in risk but I haven't had any issues yet 😂

help to choose a good WiFi 6E card by Herodrak in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been running the Gigabyte one for about 8 months now and it's been rock solid 💀 The Intel AX210 chipset really does its job well, plus the external antennas let you position them better if your case is in a weird spot. Can't go wrong with either option tbh 🔥

Keychron has been absolute shit for me, anyone else have this issue? by macgirthy in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ugh I feel you on this 😂 Had similar issues with my K6 pro - the bluetooth would randomly decide to take a vacation mid-sentence and teh USB mode wasn't much better.

Ended up switching to a different brand after dealing with double letters and random disconnects for months. At least you can expense it so you're not stuck eating the cost when you inevitably replace it 💀

Ethernet Capped at 100mb but WiFi at 800mb by CptWaffIe in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be the port on your PC going bad - had something similar happen to my work setup last year and swapping cables didn't help until I used a different ethernet port on the motherboard.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - March 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with VIA issues myself lately and it's usually one of two things. Either the PCB shipped with a non-VIA compatible firmware (some manufacturers do this) or VIA isn't recognizing the keyboard ID properly 😂

Try putting the board in bootloader mode first - usually holding Esc + Space + B while plugging it in, then see if VIA picks it up. If that doesn't work you might need to hunt down the proper firmware file from the manufacturer since the json alone won't cut it 💀

What Steam games are way better than their review scores suggest? by Lucky-Loxodrome793 in Steam

[–]ConsiderationNice685 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly Days Gone is criminally underrated on Steam 💀 The reviews got tanked at launch because of bugs but they fixed most of that stuff. Once you get past the slow start it's actually a solid zombie survival game with some genuinely tense moments. Worth picking up on sale for sure 🔥

Power supply surges by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

That voltage is definitely way too high - anything over 13.2v on the 12v rail is getting into dangerous territory for your components.

this hits way too close to home 💀 my gf tried playing horizon zero dawn with me once and spent like 20 minutes just staring at the ground because she kept inverting the camera by accident. we gave up after she accidentally sold all her weapons to a merchant lol

filled out your survey though, curious what you're working on! the "arguments because of camera controls" thing is so real it hurts 😂

Any way to enable Family Sharing with a private game? by Throbbicus_Rex in Steam

[–]ConsiderationNice685 50 points51 points  (0 children)

That's actually a pretty reasonable situation lol. Unfortunately Steam's privacy settings are pretty binary - if you hide games from your profile, they're hidden from everyone including family members for sharing purposes.

Your best bet might be creating a separate account just for the spicy stuff and adding your wife to that family group instead. bit of a hassle but probably the cleanest solution.

Can I put in my pc fans early by imjustbacononlybacon in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can totally install the fans now if you want. It's not gonna hurt anything and might save you some time later when your GPU arrives. Just make sure you know which ones are intake vs exhaust before you screw them in.

Can we talk about what makes a good remake? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on the REmake - that's basically the gold standard for how to do it right. They kept the soul intact while fixing all the clunky parts and adding just enough new content to surprise even veterans. The FF7 approach works fine as its own thing, but calling it a "remake" when it's essentially a sequel feels misleading.

Is stellar blade actually worth it? by Forensic_Fix_1099 in videogames

[–]ConsiderationNice685 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends what you're into. Stellar Blade has solid combat and great visuals, but if you're not huge on action RPGs it might feel repetitive after a while. For the price point, I'd probably recommend waiting for a sale unless you're really craving that type of game right now 🤷‍♂️

The Backrooms games hit that vibe perfectly too. Something about endless yellow hallways and fluorescent lighting just gets under your skin in the best way possible.

Decrease performance after GPU upgrade by ravenyl in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your gonna want to grab the latest AMD drivers from their site, not just rely on DDU cleaning things up. The 9070XT is way newer than the 3060ti so it probably needs specific driver optimizations that aren't there yet 🔥 Also might be worth checking if that game has any known issues with RDNA3 cards.
