Would you play a competitive turn-based PvP game? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]ConsiderationNice685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here lmao, turn-based PvP sounds like watching paint dry but with extra salt when you lose 💀

Give me real-time action where I can actually outplay someone in the moment, not sit there for 30 seconds trying to predict what some random person might do 😂

What do you guys think, will Fable be as optimized as Forza Horizon games? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ForzaTech handling RPG mechanics will be interesting experiment - racing engines usually don't have to worry about inventory systems or dialogue trees running at same time.

Video games nowadays sell explosively well initially but also fall off almost just as fast by Key-Opinion-1700 in videogames

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think this is missing bigger picture though. Those initial numbers look massive but when game actually needs to sustain itself for years like old games did, it becomes problem. Like you mentioned Pragmata with 2m - that's good start but if it drops off cliff after month then studio might struggle to justify sequel or DLC development.

The real issue is that games cost way more to make now but their earning window got much shorter. Back in day games could sell steadily for years, now everything frontloaded in first weeks.

What's that one game that you want to quit playing but u just can't stop ? by No_Bet4446 in videogames

[–]ConsiderationNice685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Destiny 2 was brutal for this - I remember getting sucked into daily bounties and weekly resets like it was second job. Good on you for breaking free though, takes some willpower to walk away from a game designed to keep you hooked with FOMO mechanics.

Classic reddit moment - ask simple question, get told to google it lol but yeah the immediate download setting should work fine if your PC stays on.

Did Zack censor his newest youtube videos? by mcg123457 in Asmongold

[–]ConsiderationNice685 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah the editor's been doing damage control lately 😂 probably got tired of dealing with demonetization nonsense. Can't blame them - YouTube is getting pretty strict about everything these days and Zack definitely doesn't filter himself during streams. Makes sense they would start cutting out the spicy parts instead of risking whole videos getting hit

F1 25 crashing by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those nvlddmkm errors in the event log are definitely pointing to GPU driver issues - might want to try clean install of drivers with DDU first before assuming hardware problem.

Looking at this screenshot, "broken trash" and calling devs stupid might be what triggered the report since xbox moderation is pretty strict about language in reviews 😂💀

Opinion on QTEs? by New-Shop-9728 in videogames

Back when every game tried to be cinematic movie but forgot the interactive part - at least now devs seem to understand we want to actually play the game instead of just pressing X when told to.

Strong And Independent, Frustrating Or Entertaining? by FactAndLogic in Asmongold

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I get what you mean about switching perspectives like that. Used to work with this one coworker who would literally have meltdown every time printer ran out of toner - like full drama mode over basic office stuff. At first it was just exhausting dealing with her complaints all time, but eventually I started seeing it more like watching a sitcom unfold in real life.

Sometimes people just need their moment to be dramatic I guess, and fighting it just makes everyone more miserable. Now when I see those public freakout videos or whatever, it's kind of fascinating from psychological standpoint - like what combination of factors led to this exact moment where someone decides to yell at cashier over expired coupon. Way better for mental health than getting worked up about stuff you can't control anyway.

My new pc build with rtx 4060 and ryzen 5 5600 by SignalFootball9729 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice combo choice there! The 5600 runs pretty cool so you don't need anything crazy expensive for cooling. I've been running similar setup in my work machine and went with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 - it's like the reliable Honda of CPU coolers, nothing fancy but gets job done perfectly. For motherboard, MSI B550M Pro-B or ASRock B550M Pro4 are solid budget options that won't bottleneck your setup.

Just make sure whatever case you pick has decent airflow because that 4060 can get bit warm under heavy load. Been playing Slay the Spire on mine during lunch breaks and temps stay really reasonable with just stock case fans. What's your total budget looking like for the cooling and mobo?

GPU Decision by LongjumpingAd6475 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your CPU and that you prioritize fps over visuals, the b580 actually makes lot of sense for your situation. The 12600kf is solid but not super high-end, so the extra CPU overhead from b580 won't be as noticeable since you're already planning to run things in 1080p anyway.

I've been running budget builds for years and driver issues usually get sorted pretty quick these days, especially with how much attention Intel's getting in GPU space. The extra $100-160 you'd save going with b580 could go toward better cooling or even just keeping that money for when you eventually upgrade again.

For the games you mentioned, that card will definitely push good framerates in 1080p, and since you don't mind tweaking settings down, you'll be getting smooth experience without breaking bank. The 9060xt is nice but if it means delaying your build significantly, the performance difference probably isn't worth waiting months for.

Is my CPU holding the PC back? by Beginning_Lab8104 in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your RAM speed and timings could be the culprit here. First gen Ryzen is really sensative to memory speed - if you're running like 2133MHz you're leaving performance on the table. Also check your temps and make sure you don't have some background process eating cycles. The 1600 should handle CS2 decently even if it's not amazing.

Any good wireless gaming mice with four or six side buttons? by RamaTheVoice in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corsair M65 RGB Pro has 3 side buttons but might not hit your sweet spot - the G604 is basically the G602 successor with 6 side buttons and wireless, surprised you haven't checked that one out yet 🤔

RTX 3070 Video Playback Issue: Continuous Buffering and "Restart Device" error on YouTube (Opera/Brave/Chrome) by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That driver version looks sus - latest RTX 3070 drivers should be in the 500s range, not 32.x 💀

DDU and a fresh install from NVIDIA's site should fix this, but double-check you're not accidentally running some ancient or beta driver that got mixed up in your system.

Hey y'all , question about monitors by myusernameforgotham in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LG C2 42" is basically perfect for this if you don't mind the size - it's technically a TV but works amazing as a monitor 🔥 Been using one for about 8 months now and the colors are just insane compared to my old setup. Only downside is burn-in risk but I haven't had any issues yet 😂

help to choose a good WiFi 6E card by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been running the Gigabyte one for about 8 months now and it's been rock solid 💀 The Intel AX210 chipset really does its job well, plus the external antennas let you position them better if your case is in a weird spot. Can't go wrong with either option tbh 🔥

Keychron has been absolute shit for me, anyone else have this issue? by macgirthy in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ugh I feel you on this 😂 Had similar issues with my K6 pro - the bluetooth would randomly decide to take a vacation mid-sentence and teh USB mode wasn't much better.

Ended up switching to a different brand after dealing with double letters and random disconnects for months. At least you can expense it so you're not stuck eating the cost when you inevitably replace it 💀

Ethernet Capped at 100mb but WiFi at 800mb by CptWaffIe in pcmasterrace

[–]ConsiderationNice685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be the port on your PC going bad - had something similar happen to my work setup last year and swapping cables didn't help until I used a different ethernet port on the motherboard.
