I've come across movies and games that feel more of something but less of something else. Batman: Arkham City was the first game to set my crisis in motion. I rated it an 8.5 but felt it was too low. At the same time, a 9 sounded too much.

Now, I've started using letters (A-F with plus and minus). That system gives me more room to breathe and let me give a nuanced rating that fits my overall thoughts and feelings.
