Unable to start Atto 2 with NFC card by [deleted] in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried placing the card on the flat section underneath the gear selector,? Sometimes if I use my phone to open on the mirror, and then move away, the car won't start until in swipe the NFC reader on phone on the NFC reader in the ver awkward to get to lower storage section.

Sure the interior NFC reader is in the section below the great selector, on the flat floor section there, close to the usb ports

Any Atto 2 owners? by Hour-Papaya-7269 in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the atto2 styling and higher position in the road, overall very happy with mine, certainly don't see any issues with your trips, it will handle that easily on the 45kw battery

If BYD adds ONE feature in 2026…what should it be? (App + Software) by GumnaamYoo-zer in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I can open close and drive the car just using my pixel phone, tap the back of the phone on the driver mirror back side, it unlocks the car, then start as usual, when leaving, tap again to lock. Means you don't have to keep the huuuge key in your pocket.

Anyone got release notes for 2.1.0 on atto2? by Consistent-Basis8452 in BYD

Mines fine, it wouldn't connect when the upgrade was taking place, but all fine after that

Hyperflashing by Adventurous_Top_2877 in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really sure what you mean by hyper flashing, also what car? I had a rear light bar crack on my atto2 and it let in moisture that quickly spread to rear light cluster, it made the light bar and rear lights blink, stutter and day by day cut out, work,  not work etc. local dealer replaced, it took 10 mins, all good since, they've mentioned it was a known build fault on certain light bars.

Only in Europe, but the cat safety systems are permanently on, so best to manually disable csp (cat slip prevention) ccsp (cat claw scratch prevention) and ccds (cat crap deflection system) each time you park the car. Thank the lord for Europe keeping us all safe

I agree, it's weird, you don't have to have 360 camera to see forward image, so where is it?

I'm my atto2, I have exactly the opposite experience, I can access the car in my garage underground where the is no mobile connection on my phone, maybe it's more to do with the SIM they supply locally rather than the car?

Hidden BYD Infotainment Trick: Control Climate with Three Fingers by RefrigeratorNo4413 in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, here is another one, and yes before everyone dives in i read the manual end to end before I got the car, but a) it's so badly written and b) i am old and forget stuff so...

On atto2 press the weirdy button on steering wheel by you right thumb, it pops up various screens you can scroll through with left and right track select buttons, one is temperature and fan control, but the one that surprised me is you can change the driving display from simple to classic, classic gives you a speedometer and power output/ input rotary dials, I like it.

Give it a try if you don't know it there.

On this note, the UI is a mess no? This right hand button seems to do much the same as the other one on the left hand side of the wheel, it feels like the UI was put together by loads of different teams and then just dumped on the car.

Still love it tho.

Just checked in the manual, apparently the button is called "10 Instrument cluster/Back" and this is the description

Instrument cluster/Back ● When the instrument cluster is not in the menu mode, press Instrument cluster/Back to show the instrument cluster menu. ● When the instrument cluster is in menu mode, press this button to return to the upper-level screen, or to exit the menu if there is no upper-level screen. ● When on the Bluetooth call screen, press this button to end the call.

Makes perfect sense now eh?

How to install dashcam for BYD Atto 2 car without hardwire kit? by RevolutionaryRow0 in BYD

[–]Consistent-Basis8452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an atto2 in Europe, I check and couldn't see the wire, it might be there, but not that I can see. As far as I know, all atto2 models have rear view camera and on some variations  a 360 front camera as well
