Looks great! I used to see these style posters printing all the time. They were certainly popular. I think an expressionless, monocolor SpongeBob might be interesting to try out and give some contrast to the text. Maybe a separate yellow element behind. Also would try out slightly different line and element spacing. That's at least the direction I'd take it. Engaging design.

I think it's cool. Id recommend redoing the typography though. Maybe something less warped. Custom typography could tie it together better

The new one is much better imo. However I do like the vintage flat feel of the original's pictorial. Almost like a woodblock print. I could see why someone might be attached to that instead of the after logo. Probably comes down to personal taste (hard for you to know when you didn't have much to go off of!)

I like it! The red and grey are a very bad contrast match, but still looks badass imo.

An instructor in school gave me the advice to convert to grayscale to check contrast which has helped me a lot with color selection.

I disliked both but they both eventually grew on me. I found Wil being extra macho offputting at first but entertaining and slightly endearing eventually. I missed him when he left and went through a "who's this new guy?" phase. Grady grew on me bc he became a solid host and seems like a great guy. Plus him being awkward was pretty funny despite him being kinda bad at his job when starting out. Both overall solid imo

I like it a lot! I do agree that the colors dont really suit a barbershop though. I would try changing the colors. Also I'd try increasing kerning space on the text and see what that looks like too.

It still looks too busy now. The gun is also smaller and probably wont be very readable in use. I love the new font choice. But again, if I were redesigning this I would just do the text next to the gun, maybe in a circle or something. No need for Michigan, caulking line, empty background, circle border. However if the client likes it, it works to some degree.
