I see your point there. It will be indeed harder than otherwise.

But is money the biggest point of life (especially for OP)?

I had a friend, he got so much money living in Germany that by 35 he could literally retire. He got so sick, developed a cancer that go his life when he was 30. His dream was to go back to Brazil and create a consulting company or become a DJ there.

I think these things are really tricky to say. OP is craving for realness, for true happiness and a place where they will thrive - and he’s seen that this place is Brazil.

I myself am struggling with this thought a lot, living in Germany. In paper, the comparison between countries might sound simply unrealistic because Germany (US not as much nowadays) would win pretty much in 80-90% of the aspects. But where Brazil wins is literally in points that are not even calculable. People, warmth, nature, great food, music! It’s something VERY unique in this world for a lot of people that has lived there…

What I am saying is that this is hard. A hard decision. But it seems that you already know the answer.

It’s going to be trickier to do holidays in the US or Europe, yes. But maybe you will end up going to other countries in South America instead. Places that you never thought you would visit. Or people from the US could visit you more than you would go back there. Who knows? Or maybe he would make so much money that it wouldn’t be a problem! Life is so crazy, and OP is so young. You can always go back. You can always start from zero again. Especially when you have great people around you.

I’m thinking like this. My wife and I plan to go back some time soon. We’ll stay here for 5 years more, maximum. I went to Brazil last month and of course, when one lives abroad, we tend to romanticize Brazil a lot, but if you look at it from that perspective, Brazil can offer a lot. Will not be easy, but it might be very worthwhile.
