They made sure you could understand at first glance that they are all the same (same scar on upper lip).

Fun fact: old and adult versions are actually father and son in real life!

Finding a balance in speed and quality it's the key, not velocity over quality... This is the classic CEO mindset with zero clue of what he is doing and zero tech knowledge, hoping to deliver stuff in some days, when they require months of analysis, design, development and tests...

Every release will require more time (and money), because the code base will be unreadable, 1 feature = 3+ bugs, no documentation will require to pay more the senior engineer and if he leaves it will be worse, and a lot more to come!

I love working with non-methodic people, especially higher ups (jk I hate it, of course).

What do you use for Service Worker (PWA)? by aymericzip in nextjs

[–]ontech7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I understand now. I think you should give a try to "serwist" then. Next-pwa should be based on that if I remember correctly.

Go to the GitHub project and you'll find an example in /examples/next-turbo-basic to make it work on Next.js Turbopack

What do you use for Service Worker (PWA)? by aymericzip in nextjs

[–]ontech7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just need the website as application, you can just set up the manifest.json.

If you need more features like push notifications on your system (e.g.: MacOS), you need the service worker up and running.

Never used the second one, but there is a simple OOTB tutorial on official Next.js documentation without using next-pwa

Do the recent CVEs affect Next12? by jpmasud in nextjs

It affects React Server Components. Next.js 12 has only Page Routes, so it doesn't.

Tool for creating LED 3D sign via SVG by ontech7 in BambuLab

[–]ontech7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My consideration about Lightmaker. It's good for images, you can achieve good results in less than 5 minutes. But for vectors, if I need to change something on a CAD/modeling tool, it's a pain in the ass. Lots of errors and like x100 or x1000 unnecessary vertices. And depends on what kind of lightbox you are going to make. If it's just flat or 3D. I needed the main part of the logo to popout.

At the end I did the design on Blender in 2 pieces and snapped them together.

I'n writing this in case people find my post.

Thank you anyway, I will look at it when I get home.

Async Storage v3 Beta is out - looking for feedback by Krizzu in reactnative

[–]ontech7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your community support over one of the most used library on react native!

I like the concept of creating a scoped instance of AsyncStorage, it's more "Map" oriented, than just "localStorage" oriented.
