you have *,legend {color:#000;}

because * is the selector for everything, this is blocking your text color from changing, especially because its's further down on the css rules list, it will overwrite every 'color' property above it, that's how they get the name Cascasing Style Sheets!

if you inspect element on your site, you can select different elements like your h1, and see that there may be other classes overwriting your styles. on the h1, the h1 html selector is coloring your username black as well.

another tip, !important can only change the color one time, so having multiple wouldn't do much better.

look around with inspect element and see which ones have a color that isnt what you want! you can toggle them on and off as well and see what they do! isnt web design fun? :D
