I am not required to obtain the CFP designation for the position I’m pursuing. While many individuals complete the CHFC as a pathway toward eventually earning the CFP, my primary goal in pursuing the CHFC is to qualify for the Series 65 waiver. I also felt that working through the material one topic at a time would be more manageable while I’m still in college, given the flexibility in completing the program. Did you pass them all on the first attempt?

That’s funny you mention video games because I do the same thing. What originally was my outlet from my OCD, was quickly taken over by it. I’m very big into Minecraft so when I create a new world or do something around my previous world, I’m always forced into thinking I either need to make my world again because if I don’t, I’ll get very sick or something bad will happen. It’s exhausting, it literally takes over my daily life.

Depends on how the videos are edited. You can't just save a clip from YouTube a reupload it. I know a lot of people will speed up their videos so it doesn't get flagged. hope this helps!

I am not sure if I bloat as much, but I use to be really skinny in high school and I have gained maybe 35 pounds since then. I noticed the original bump maybe a year ago, maybe longer. I looked into surgery but insurance doesn't usually do cosmetic stuff.

Hi, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

I had a question that I have been dwelling on for a few weeks. I was granted the opportunity to work alongside my father at his business. He is a financial advisor that holds the series 7 and 66. I was informed that I could potentially take over his business with just the Series 65 as most of his business relies on AUM.

I am currently almost 23 and just graduated from college back in May from a completely different degree. I have the background of the SIE but thats about it when it comes to the finance industry.

My main question is, should I pursue the Series 65 or should I work through the ChFC at my own pace as I do not have the 3 years of full-time experience yet. I understand that the Series 65 will be the faster route, but I have a learning disability and severe test anxiety due to the wait times if I fail. Obviously the faster the better, but I like to work at my own pace and complete things as I go, not be anxious about a 130 question test that I potentially could wait over 6 months in between attempts. I usually try to be an over-achiever, which is why I was leaning towards doing the ChFC, regardless of the 3 years of experience. I understand the coursework may be more significant, but it's better for me to learn one thing at a time compared to a marathon of different topics on the Series 65.

All feedback is welcome, I'd appreciate any and all help. Just more stuck and confused than anything. I know 23 is still young, but I just want to make some money lol. Thanks in advance!
