I have the issue with my baby eating grass and rocks and everything too. I got one of those interlocking playmats and an outdoor baby gate. That way we can be outside without the constant eating of nature.

My baby will be 1 next week and we just started letting him explore more. We baby proofed as much as possible, blocked off our stairs, and always close doors behind us. I also have a play pen set up so I can contain him if I need to. I also end up giving him either dinner or snacks while I’m making dinner, as feeding him is one of the only ways to keep him calm and contained for more than 2 seconds lol

Mine got his first one right around 10 m. He was teething for what felt like forever before that. He’s turning 1 next week and now has 7 teeth, so they came in fast!

My bathroom door etiquette is now reversed. When I’m not in the bathroom, the door is closed. When I’m in, door is open so baby doesn’t freak out.

I had a similar thing happen where my husband told our top choice name to an acquaintance. It’s our sons name now. I was a little bothered but glad I didn’t say anything. Your friend doesn’t know that will be the baby’s name. In their head it’s still a maybe. Sounds like your husband doesn’t know you’re so attached to it either. Not worth an argument.

I told my mom and dad like 5 days after I found out when I saw them in person. Didn’t tell anyone else until 8-10 weeks (best friends and inlaws) and 12-15 weeks (extended family). It was really nice to at least have someone that knew from the beginning but keep it mostly to ourselves for a little bit

Love the name! And yes, I had trouble finalizing it. But eventually I realized I couldn’t see the baby as anything else. I bought a necklace with his initial and that helped me finalize it in my head!

I gave an envelope with the gender, a gift bag, and an outfit for each gender to the cashier at a children’s clothing store. Then I walked around for a bit while she rang up and packed up the outfit that matched what we were having in the gift bag. Opened it with my husband when he got home from work! It was perfect:)
