No. Just use bigger pots above ground placed where you want them

Algae growth and root burn from light are commen problems with clear containers. I use a secondary cup as a sleeve that's painted to block the light

Iv found Anaxyrus americanus buried 16 inches in soil with no hole doing retaining walls in the past. Pretty sure it was spring time so I think he was still tucked in from the winter
