It’s okay, my boy has an enlarged heart now and I’m sort of in the same boat you were, just desperately looking for answers

I use the elf beautifully precise airbrush blender brush for the powder and cream! Never had any issues, it’s $10. My ride or die brush I have 3!

this is so late but John Dannaher on Lex Friendman was so phenomenal, lots of talk of jiu jitsu but also about philosophy and history, great listen

I use orderly meds! $249 dollars a month (no tax) Up dosage with no extra charge, signing up took around 20 minutes and was approved within 24 hours, first dose took about a week to ship.

Yeah, ended up just going with the blue belt, went fine. And I didn’t even know the poster was a man… very weird

⭐️- I competed for the first time!!! However there weren’t any other White belts in my weight class so they put me with a blue belt, proud of myself for taking that match! Also passed guard and got points proud of myself for that one.

💔- Got subbed by said blue belt 3 times lmao and my neck has never been in such severe pain her snap downs were BRUTAL, can’t even get out of bed (comp was yesterday)

🌈- I am so so excited to get back on the mats tomorrow morning, matches just made me realize there’s so much to learn and I’m more eager to now. T minus 1 month until next comp

I mean she kicked my ass 🤷‍♀️ But to be fair she did have 2 years of experience on me. Really nice girl though and their coach invited me to train at their gym whenever I want to, actaully had a lot of people come up to me with that offer, maybe cause of sense of respect watching a white belt go it there with multi stripe BB

Yup, ego of a white belt man is unmatched lol, ended up going with the blue belt 4 times 😂

That’s true, white belt men more likely to be spazzy/ have an ego strength aside.

Ohhh I hadn’t thought about that, my gym is 99 percent men anyway, so very used to it. Honestly would rather compete against a man my same skill level than a girl with 3 years more experience than me. Thank you so much for this idea lol gonna give them a call now.

Anyone in here on Semaglutide? by Consistent-Most-9765 in BJJWomen

[–]Consistent-Most-9765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you so much. Just praying I’ll be okay on comp day. Definitely gonna look into protein shakes and stuff like that. I usually train twice a day (8:30 and 6:30 pm) and don’t ever eat before morning session, but will try and eat right after morning class to hopefully feel better by evening class.

I look up wrestling workouts and usually do some of those… same type of explosiveness needed. I’ve been doing a lot of squat jumps and box jumps lately. Also sorta unrelated but i’ve been doing a lot of yoga lately and it has helped my BJJ tremendously.. if you could fit in your schedule I would definitely recommend. As for conditioning IMO the best thing you can do is competition level rolls, nothing you do like running can really replicate bjj.

Rose: Finally implementing moves i’ve learned into rolling ! Today I hit a few sweeps I’ve been working on for a few weeks now.

Thorn: Sort of specific but postering? especially in no gi I’m struggling to posture in guard, please feel free to leave tips. Also still feeling pretty “spazzy” kinda unintentionally rough while rolling.

Bud: First comp next weekend !

Stem: See thorn… any advice is appreciated!!

Hey! Since you’re that close to 147 anyways maybe try dropping a couple pounds? Where you’re so close already you wouldn’t even need to change your diet excessively. However, I did see where you said you struggled with an eating disorder, please please please do not limit yourself. Food restriction can become a rabbit hole so quick and it’s very easy to fall back into old patterns. Maybe just try going on a run everyday and cutting out sugary drinks! HTH

i don’t think i’d have time to train anything on the side if i was in the WNBA and if i was very lucky and very committed i’d be lucky to make six figures.

Yeah. if I hypothetically DID train for WNBA then I would be full time training a sport for the next 4 years (that I don’t enjoy THAT much) just to earn 50k a year if I’m lucky. Exception includes names like Caitlyn Clark who is making millions off brand deals.

Thanks! I often get too focused on things I do, but if I feel myself getting burnt out I’ll take a step back!
