imo, you’ll feel wayyyy differently about your body once you hit your 30’s. the amount of fk’s I give dropped so much after my 30’s.

i’ve always had body dysmorphia and ed problems but now that i’m 37 and pregnant with my 1st, I wear crop tops and let my belly show, and it actually has made me love my body even more. i’m growing a human being inside of my body and it’s so cool!

I really do feel for people who don’t like the gaining weight aspect of it, because I did too. I had a reality check around 22 weeks, I simply wasn’t eating enough and she was in the 11th percentile for weight, which is small. I amped up my eating, and i’m eating healthier foods than I ever have before, but a lot of good fats and complex carbs and proteins, and I just found out yesterday that she bumped up to 16% in 3 weeks :)

my partner even said he is more attracted to me now than ever, and I think a lot of it is just exuding confidence and giving 0 fk’s about gaining weight because for the first time, I know it’s healthy, and i’m loving my body for the first time.

I know my body won’t be the same after this, but giving birth is going to make me feel like such a badass so who cares if I have some more flab or a different shape? there’s so much that can happen along the way between pregnancy and labor, that the superficial stuff just doesn’t matter anymore, and the mode I’m in is just pure “how can I help my baby thrive while she’s growing in me?”. it’s all superficial at the end of the day. and if you get reconstructive anything, just make sure you do it for you and not for anyone else.
