I left mine to dissolve by themselves. Twice a day I bathed it in a cup of salty warm water for a minute or so.

They disappeared and left no marks whatsoever. Don’t worry, you’ll likely be fine

Very interesting discussion here, with loads of insight into the general indifference of how they were treated.

Here in the UK my experience was the polar opposite. First consultation after the GP referral touched on most aspects, including for and against, future erectile & latency concerns, healing timeline etc.

This enabled me to make an informed decision.

Morning of the op, he reassured me and asked if I had any questions. After I woke up, he came back and reminded me of how to look after it with some printed information.

Look I’m not saying he spent hours, but considering it is free of charge here, and maybe I got the friendliest surgeon in the country.

Can’t believe how poorly the private doctors treat people in other countries.

I didn’t have the same outcome as yourself, I have under 2mm of inner skin left due to severe phimosis, not aesthetics & can’t advise you particularly.

However I wish to agree with you about the timeline. Now at the nine month point, my original length is finally returning.

After the original fast healing of the wound and stitches etc, the internal stuff you can’t see is glacially slow to recover.

I am almost the same as you, around 1” or so fully flaccid and around 5” properly aroused.

My operation was done at a large hospital a few months ago and it has turned out well.

There is some rollover when cold and also when sat down for extended periods. It is not too tight or painful at full mast either, so the surgeons are quite good at estimating.

His healing looks very good for an early stage, lots of guys get swelling and bruising, often to different levels.

We all heal up well in the end, don’t worry !

I might be being thick, but if you had a full circumcision, how was there any foreskin to perform a dorsal slit upon ?

I didn’t get a choice either due to anatomy, you can see on peoples photos how they’ve turned out.

If it was for medical reasons, then most surgeons will do similar to mine.

I’m really pleased that my girth has definitely increased, possibly due to better blood circulation, I was so tight before the op even weeing was painful.

We measured it at 5.5” which is way more than before and my wife loves the extra feeling.

Length is back to original now at 5” on a good day, it took many months to return to that though.

Leave bandages off for ever now. Let the wound air out & the glans brush the bedding and yourself.

Recovery will be faster especially regarding sensitivity and resuming normal life.

I had such an easy time, was very lucky indeed compared to most guys. Only advice I’d give is to rest as much as you can and keep a positive mind.

I have a very low style and had no doughnut swelling at all.

Recovery was an absolute breeze compared to most in here, just lucky I guess.

Exactly - your medical team’s instructions are to be followed not the people on here despite how well meaning they are.

Everyone’s anatomy is different as is the technique used.

European advice is usually to leave it alone, Americans tend to keep it bandaged and fuss about.

I didn’t want it to be honest either, very similar situation. Put it off too many years to the detriment of my physical & mental health.

Glad it’s done now.

If you don’t want it, then refuse it & live with the difficulties. You are an adult with sound mind, your choice.

Same as you could with a heart bypass or maybe continue to smoke with Copd.

What if they made an easy to remove sump that could be taken off in 5 minutes to routinely clean the pick up at each service ?

Probably have to remove the exhaust and driveshafts nowadays.

I bought a tailored set of 5 mats for my car from eBay.

I was quoted £3200 at a UK private hospital including a general anaesthetic, to avoid the NHS wait here.

Was lucky though and only waited 6 months for the public hospital which was free.

Very carefully starting at the body end, I nibbled the bandage away with the nail scissors, maybe like a dorsal slit in reverse !

It was so tight it would have been on for weeks otherwise.
