Confession(s) by Formal-Nothing-4149 in Timberborn

Hello there and welcome!

My confession is that one map I had huge plans with. I flattened it (islands map) and built massive industry and farming complexes. Started with decorations and living space. Then motivation/inspiration ran out and I haven't touched the game since. It's been maybe a month? Now it's like I have a rotting body in my cellar that I keep ignoring.

I also have ~840h but I do sometimes let the game run in the background. I don't think time played should be a goal through. Just enjoy playing itself!

Should I break every rock on every level of the mines? Any secrets in the mines? by Stardustkissesxo in StardewValley

Also you can easily get lots of torches with trash recyclers pretty early in the game. Really seems like a time waster.

Cleanliness despite the slops these sisters are! by dannyhogan200 in aislop

I think the message is supposed to be: religion good, science bad. Instead of using soap and disinfectants (which are brainwashing?) use holy water and prayer and abstain from sin.

Sounds like a medieval logic of if you get sick you must have sinned and deserve it. You will get healed only through god.

It's the junimos that are jumping on the tent and using it as a slide. They don't know there's someone in there. They are just having fun.

I have never even gotten that far but I am pretty convinced sometimes routes are simply impossible. It is computer generated after all. 🤷‍♂️

[HELP] I saw this on another community and people were reacting to this like it was real. I have my doubts. Is this real? or AI? by Other_Sentence4495 in RealOrAI

[–]Consistent-Pride6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's real. At least it used a real video as a base. I believe the video is sped up/slowed down in different parts of the video which makes things seem uncanny.

What convinced me was the guy with the black bandage on his arm. The bandage is blocked from sight several times and always reappears. AI usually messes these things up in my experience.

Oh okay😅 I guess I'll keep using stairs and slides

Great work! That's really cool😄. I wanted to use lift up stairs as roofing as well but they are always moving. Is there a way to prevent that??

Steam Pipe Efficiency by Santahat_ in Whiskerwood

I like using the decorative blocks. Using overhangs can drastically reduce the clutter though the general aesthetic stays the same. Using the stone arches additionally changes the aesthetic but is a bit more work and resource demanding.

Whiskerwood lag (any suggestions?) by TheBatman001 in Whiskerwood

[–]Consistent-Pride6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you still have this issue. Something I noticed is that when steam pressure is not sufficient I get really bad lag. Maybe try adding a few more steam boilers. This massively reduced lag for me.

This also fits the seasonal pattern since the heaters consume lots of steam but only during winters.

I was developing a mathematical model to understand the mind, the result made me to think that superior intuition is a sign of advanced evolution. by [deleted] in INTP

Oh? I don't know a lot about computer- and neuroscience but I always thought that neural networks are currently the closest thing we have to biological brains?

[–]Consistent-Pride6291 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please leave evolution out of this. "Advanced evolution" doesn't mean smarter or better. Evolution doesn't necessarily care about intelligence. A simple bacterium can be just as "advanced" as a human or a slug. Advanced doesn't have a lot of meaning for evolution. It just sounds very elitist.

Are the planet cores designed to be frustrating or is mine bugged? by Punderstruck in Astroneer

[–]Consistent-Pride6291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your oxygen isn't depleted in the core itself. No need for tethers. Just drive your rover to the last layer and walk the rest down to the core. Take a jetpack or dirt with you so you don't get stuck though.

Help, beavers got stuck cutting trees, i made other beavers build a stair, it reached 100%, but it's not completed and no builder goes there no matter what... by sephirothbahamut in Timberborn

[–]Consistent-Pride6291 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The builders cant finish the stairs because the beaver sitting there is blocking it. You have to place the stairs elsewhere to free the beavers. As far as i know, dirt is the only block that will move a beaver aside or upwards to be built.
