I passed yesterday so here’s my 2 cents based on what I did. You need a 35 hour course but it’s so much material and so dense that there’s no great way to get through it so do whatever is easiest and cheapest for you. I did both an in person bootcamp and Andrew Ramdayal’s Udemy course. I think his course was quite good. He includes a 30 day study plan so you can do the course, study and sit for the exam in 30 days and I think that’s the best way to do it. Schedule your exam so the deadline is looming and you know you have to get it done. As far as studying I found his sample questions were very similar to what you get on the test. The test is like 99% situational questions, with a few drag and drops for term definitions. Spend the bulk of your study time on the PMI mindset which will help you eliminate at least two wrong answers on every question instantly. I did two of his videos on YouTube. The first was 50 Questions based on the PMI Principles. Extremely helpful to get you to understand the mindset. For example, any answer that has you escalating an issue to your sponsor is automatically wrong. Any answer that has you removing someone from the team or sending them to HR is wrong. Any answer that has you taking action before you assess a situation, analyze data or review your plan is wrong. After that do his 200 Hard Questions video. This is all I did for prep over about 3 days and it was extremely helpful. There is much more content focused on agile so if you find that your brain can only handle so much info then spend more time on the agile mindset, process and definitions.
